John Fogerty brings his 2011 Tour to South Florida!

As one of the most revered and influential artists to emerge in the '60s, John Fogerty is still a vital part of the musical landscape. As lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of Creedence Clearwater Revival and as a Grammy Award-winning, chart-topping solo artist, Fogerty's sound has encompassed everything from blues to country to southern swamp rock and roll.

As part of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty released nine Top Ten singles between 1969 and 1971 starting with the standard "Proud Mary." Creedence also scored eight gold albums between 1968 and 1972 including the hits "Bad Moon Rising" and "Fortunate Son."

Fan favorite hits include "Down on the Corner," "Who'll Stop the Rain," "Have You Ever Seen the Rain," "Midnight Special," "Lookin' out My Back Door" and "Born on the Bayou."

After Creedence split up in 1972, Fogerty released an album of covers, on which he played all the instruments, under the name the Blue Ridge Rangers in 1973. This was followed by a solo album, John Fogerty (1975).

Long legal battles over song credits led Fogerty away from the spotlight until 1984 when he rebounded with a Top Ten single, "The Old Man Down the Road," and a number one album, Centerfield. Eye of the Zombie followed in 1986. In 1997, he released Blue Moon Swamp and the live Premonition. In 2005, he put out Long Road Home: The Ultimate John Fogerty/Creedence Collection and its accompanying DVD, Long Road Home: In Concert, the first compilation of its kind to feature both CCR classics and Fogerty's solo work. After a number of concert appearances, Fogerty released Revival in 2007.

In 2009, he released The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again (2009), a series of hit songs from the past with impressive duets from the present, including Bruce Springsteen, Don Henley and Timothy B. Schmit.

Most recently, he celebrated the 25^th Anniversary of the release of the smash Centerfield.
Revered as one of the greatest songwriters, singers and guitarists of all time, Fogerty was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.

Adele cancels her entire 10 city concert tour!

Set to embark on a tour of the United States on October 7th in Atlantic City, Adele announced last night (Tuesday October 4, 2011) that she was canceling her entire upcoming tour -- all 10 scheduled concert dates, due to a vocal illness.

The Grammy winner, who sold out all 10 of those shows, released a statement on her website, excerpted below:

Guys, im heartbroken and worried to tell you that yet again im experiencing problems with my voice. its ridiculous i know! i cant believe it myself. i follow all the advice im given and stick to regimes, rules and practices to the best of my ability but it seems to simply not be enough. i want you to know the full story about my voice troubles so bare with me in this long blog.

the fact is i have never been able to fully recover from any of the problems that ive had and then continue to rest even once im recovered, because of my touring commitments. ive been offered the chance to not tour at all to save anything like this from happening again, but i simply hate letting you down. although now im having to let you down once again through no fault of my own really. if i continue to pick up everything before i have properly conquered these problems and nipped them in the bud. i will be totally and utterly fucked. singing is literally my life, its my hobbie, my love, my freedom and now my job. I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or i risk damaging my voice forever. i have great confidence in believing you know how much this upsets me, how seriously i take it and how truly devastated and annoyed i am by this.

i apologise from the bottom of my heart, sincerely i do. i know its not only disappointing because of the show, but its plane tickets, hotel bookings, birthdays, anniversaries and time wasted. but please have faith in me that this is the only thing i can do to make sure i can always sing and always make music for you to the best of my ability. truly yours and yours only forever, adele xx

This means that Adele’s scheduled Friday October 14, 2011 at the intimate Waterfront Theatre at the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami, Florida has been cancelled.

Waterloo brings their hit ABBA tribute show ABBA: The Concert back to South Florida!

The original ABBA was a smash dance and pop sensation imported from Sweden in the 70’s that went on to sell more than 365 million records. They proved themselves to be one of the most enduring and successful groups of all time, having dominated the record charts for nearly eight years. Their music is still capturing new fans with the global stage musical sensation MAMMA MIA!, which uses their catalogue of songs as its score. The stage show was made into a hit 2008 film starring Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan and Dominic Cooper.

Although the original members of ABBA have not performed together since 1983, their recognizable sound and alluring stage performance can be experienced through the band “Waterloo”. Waterloo pays tribute to ABBA and includes original members from ABBA’s band.

Waterloo was formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1996 and quickly became known for its fantastic ABBA-sound and their stunning look-alike show. The band takes audiences back to an unforgettable time in pop history when glittering clothes and platform shoes dominated the music scene. The audience and press agreed, “This is the closest to ABBA you’ll ever get.”

During the late ‘90s, Waterloo toured clubs and festivals all around Scandinavia, Belgium and Asia. From 2001- 2008, Waterloo went into collaboration with Danish company CSE and the London National Symphony Orchestra, and “ABBA The Show” was born. The concert told the story of ABBA, and first appeared in Skien, Norway in September, 2001. This first show was followed by hundreds of additional performances all over the world. In total, Waterloo has performed approximately 1,000 shows in more than 25 countries.

During these tours, the show has always consisted of two or three guest artists who once were original members of the ABBA rhythm section. Over the years, original ABBA musicians have performed with Waterloo including Mike Watson (bass player), and Johan Stengaard (saxophone player), both of whom will be performing at the Luhrs Center engagement.

Waterloo’s latest “ABBA: The Concert” will guide audiences through ABBA’s musical history with all the classic hits and with a sound and look that bring back memories and the nostalgia of that era. Waterloo will amaze you with their period instruments, vintage costumes, hairstyles, on stage mannerisms, speaking voices, and unmistakable harmonies which capture the essence of ABBA. The 1st US Nat'l Tour of Broadway’s THE ADDAMS FAMILY adds West Palm Beach to its tour schedule!

The new 1^st National Tour of THE ADDAMS FAMILY adds West Palm Beach's Kravis Center on its tour route.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a new musical based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams. The new tour not only has added 3 new songs to the show but has also been reworked by the creative team making it even better than the Broadway production which is set to close on Broadway on December 31, 2011.

The tour is headlined by Douglas Sills, a Tony Award nominee for THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL, and Sara Gettelfinger, last seen on Broadway in A FREE MAN OF COLOR and DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, as Gomez and Morticia.

Also on the tour are: Tony Award nominee Martin Vidnovic as Mal Beineke, two-time Tony Award nominee Crista Moore as Alice Beineke, Blake Hammond as Uncle Fester, Pippa Pearthree as Grandma, Tom Corbeil as Lurch, Patrick D. Kennedy as Pugsley, Brian Justin Crum as Lucas Beineke and Cortney Wolfson as Wednesday.

Portraying the ancestors are: Ted Ely, Karla Garcia, Steve Geary, Victoria Huston-Elem, Patrick Oliver Jones, Lizzie Klemperer, Alexandra Matteo, Christy Morton, Brad Nacht, Rebecca Riker, Jonathan Ritter, Roland Rusinek, Geo Seery, Samantha Shafer and Jason Eric Testa.

The tour started performances on September 15 at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts in New Orleans and will continue on to over 30 additional major markets across North America.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY features a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa. The production is directed and designed (sets and costumes) by Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch with creative consultation by Jerry Zaks and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.

The production features lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by ACME Sound Partners and puppetry by Basil Twist. The production also features music supervision by Mary-Mitchell Campbell, orchestrations by Larry Hochman, dance arrangements by August Eriksmoen, hair design by Tom Watson, make-up design by Angelina Avallone and special effects design by Greg Meeh.

"Weird Al" Yankovic brings his THE APLOCALYPSE TOUR to South Florida!

"Weird Al" Yankovic, the music industry's award-winning accordion-playing lampoonist, brings his latest and greatest musical parodies in THE APLOCALYPSE TOUR.

In the world of novelty records, Yankovic is king, having scored smash after smash over the course of an enduring career where he has mocked everything from new wave to gangsta rap. His witty takes on chart toppers include "I Love Rocky Road," (a satire of Joan Jett & the Blackhearts' "I Love Rock 'n' Roll"), "Ricky" (a tune inspired by Toni Basil's hit "Mickey" and the I LOVE LUCY television series) and "Eat It" (based on Michael Jackson's "Beat It") which won a Grammy and became an MTV smash.

Alfred Matthew Yankovic was the only child of Nick and Mary Yankovic. As a teenager in Lynwood, California, Yankovic began sending homemade tapes of his songs to Dr. Demento, a nationally syndicated disc jockey known for playing comedy and novelty music. Demento found a certain charm in the accordion-powered ditties that Yankovic recorded on a cheap cassette player in his own bedroom, and gave him his first airplay. He not only had a modest cult following from the good Doctor's radio show, but he also had a couple of nationally released singles - "My Bologna" (a take-off on The Knack's "My Sharona") and "Another One Rides the Bus" (a send-up of Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust).

A straight "A" student and valedictorian at the age of 16, Yankovic attended California Polytechnic State University , where, as a DJ at his campus radio station, KCPR, he went under the name of "Weird Al" because of his penchant for playing music that was, well, kind of weird.

In 1984, Weird Al released “Weird Al Yankovic in 3-D”. In addition to the afore-mentioned "Eat It," the album also included "King of Suede" (a rewrite of the Police's "King of Pain") and "I Lost on Jeopardy" (a parody of the Greg Kihn Band's "Jeopardy"), as well as "Polkas on 45," the first in a series of medleys of pop hits recast as polka numbers. “Dare to Be Stupid”, the first comedy record ever released in the new compact disc format, followed in 1985, and featured "Like a Surgeon" (a takeoff of the Madonna hit "Like a Virgin").

“Even Worse” (1988) was Yankovic's platinum-selling return with its title and album cover a reference to Michael Jackson's “Bad” LP. "I'm Fat," the first single and video, also parodied the lavish Martin Scorsese-directed clip for Jackson's hit "Bad"; shot on the same subway set used by Jackson. The video -- which portrayed Yankovic as a grotesquely obese tough guy -- won him his second Grammy. The next year, he starred in the feature film UHF, which he also co-wrote; a soundtrack appeared, as well.

After an extended period of silence, he returned in 1992 with “Off the Deep End”, which featured the Top 40 hit "Smells Like Nirvana" (a send-up of Nirvana's landmark single "Smells Like Teen Spirit"). Additional releases include “Alapalooza” (1993), “Bad Hair Day” (1996), his highest-charting record to date thanks to the success of the single "Amish Paradise" (a take-off of the Coolio hit "Gangsta's Paradise"), “Running with Scissors” (1999) and “Poodle Hat” (2003). “Straight Outta Lynwood” (2006) featured the single "White & Nerdy" (a suburban parody of Chamillionaire's hit "Ridin'").

In between his recordings of the late '90s, Yankovic also hosted his own Saturday morning half-hour TV show on CBS.

Yankovic's 13th studio album released this summer, “Alpocalypse”, skewers the likes of Lady Gaga with "Perform This Way" and Miley Cyrus with "Party in the CIA."

"Weird Al" credits Spike Jones, Stan Freberg, Tom Lehrer, Allan Sherman, Shel Silverstein, Frank Zappa and all the other wonderfully sick and twisted artists that he was exposed to through the Dr. Demento Radio Show.

Chris Brown brings his F.A.M.E. Tour along with Kelly Rowland, Bow Wow, Tyga and T-Pain to South Florida!

The VMA-nominated Chris Brown kicked-off his F.A.M.E. Tour on September 12 in Toronto. The tour will run through October 30, when it ends it Hartford, Connecticut, after stops in cities all over the U.S.

So what should fans expect from Brown on the road?

"This tour will allow me to paint a picture musically," Brown said in a statement. "I want to bring a lot of energy and excitement to all the fans. It's going to be a great show."

Kelly Rowland is also on tour with the singer, and the pair is joined by Bow Wow, Tyga and T-Pain.

"I'm so excited about that," Rowland said of the star-studded trek. "Getting ready for that show — literally getting ready. I'm sitting up here emailing and all that kind of stuff, finding people now."

Previously, Brown has said on Twitter that the show will go big. "This tour is about to be crazzzyyy!" he tweeted.

Brown recently released the rap mix-tape “Boy In Detention”, which features a number of cameos, including one from Justin Bieber's rapping alter ego, Shawty Mane. Before Brown goes on tour, he's set to film the rom-com "Think Like a Man" in L.A., and also performed at the VMAs on August 28 from the Nokia Theatre in L.A. The singer was also up for a number of VMAs, including Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Collaboration for his eye-popping "Look at Me Now" video.
