In late March 2011 Spears announced on ABC TV’s “Good Morning America” that she was embarking on a tour with Iglesias. Later that day a representative for Iglesias explained that despite earlier reports, the bilingual singer would not be hitting the road with Britney. Nicki Minaj was brought in to fill his spot on the trek.
Iglesias’ fall U.S. tour kicks off September 22 in Boston at TD Garden. The run closes out October 22 with a hometown concert in Miami at American Airlines Arena.
Shows along the way include gigs in Philadelphia (September 23); Newark, NJ (September 24); Toronto (September 29); Auburn Hills, MI (September 30); Rosemont, Il. (October 1); Los Angeles (October 6) and San Jose, CA (October 7).
Additional dates are also planned for Houston (October 12); San Antonio, TX (October 13); El Paso, TX (October 15); Laredo, TX (October 16); Grand Prairie, TX (October 18); Duluth, GA (October 20); and Orlando, FL (October 21).
Pitbull and Prince Royce are hitting the road with Iglesias as his special guests. Both acts will open all of the shows with the exception of September 22, which only features Pitbull.
“I’m so excited to go out in the states, and this time with my good friends Pitbull and Prince Royce,” Iglesias said. “It’s going to be a great show and we hope to see all of you out there. This tour will be unforgettable!”
Enrique Iglesias (with Pitbull & Prince Royce) will be at the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami, Florida on Saturday October 22, 2011.
