This time Josh Groban isn't playing coy by releasing only two or three dates while talking up his world tour. He recently revealed the entire North American run, which launched in the Big Easy during the second week of May 2011.Groban talked about his world tour while making a Valentine's Day appearance on NBC TV's TODAY SHOW several months ago.
Supporting his 2010 album, "Illuminations", Groban's STRAIGHT TO YOU Tour began in New Orleans at the Lakefront Arena on May 12; played Houston's Toyota Center on May 14 and stopped in Dallas at the American Airlines Center on May 16. Other cities included (and include) Tulsa (May 20), Kansas City (May 25), Raleigh (June 11), Minneapolis (July 8), Toronto (July 18), Pittsburgh (August 3), Milwaukee (August 9), Denver (August 12), Seattle (August 27), Edmonton (September 2), Tampa (October 28) and Providence (November 9). Last show on the itinerary is scheduled for November 14 at New York City's Madison Square Garden.
The game plan calls for Groban to deliver an intimate theater fell despite playing arenas and will incorporate stage design, lighting and projection with spontaneous elements including soliciting feedback from fans regarding set-list selections, etc.
