Heat downs the Hawks for eighth straight win
The Fourth quarter was definitely a nail biter, but the
Miami Heat proved victorious. With Miami turning two veterans off the bench,
Ray Allen and Shane Battier combined for 24 points in the fourth quarter, and
the Heat scored the first 13 points for the period to erase Atlanta’s 10-point
lead and beat the Hawks 103-90 on Wednesday night for their eighth straight win
of the season. The Heat trailed only 57-56 early in the third period before the
Hawk’s stretched the lead with 10 straight points. Korver had two 3-pointers
before Smith’s two-handed jam capped the
run, giving Atlanta its biggest lead at 67-56. Allen, who had a three-point
play after Battier’s first 3-pointer of
the fourth quarter, gave Miami its first lead of the second half at 74-73 with
a layup. Two free-throws by James capped the 13-0 run. After this win, fans
will be geared up for the next battle on the court. The Miami Heat is up to
play the Chicago Bulls and you can catch all the action tonight at 8:00 p.m. on
