John Mayer to tour after 3 year hiatus: announcing the Born and Raised tour

John Mayer announced Friday, his plan for a 40-city summer tour,  The "Born and Raised" tour that was initially cancelled in 2011. After being off the road due to having surgery on his vocal cords, Mayer is reportedly ready to hit the ground running. Along with the North American tour, at least two dates have been announced in Brazil in late September.

Mayer expressed his gratitude for being able to perform on stage once again. He says the ability to sing again is "the greatest gift I have in my life" and that the "opportunity to play again is also the opportunity to dream again." John, we couldn't agree with you more!
