The tour is in support of the band's third album: "Vices & Virtues", which drops tomorrow Tuesday March 22, 2011 on Decaydance/Fueled by Ramen. It will be the band's first full-fledged tour in support of their new album.
Currently the band is touring with "An Intimate Evening with Panic! At the Disco", which has only been previewing a couple of new songs off "Vices & Virtues".
The band climbs onboard the old tour bus beginning May 20 in Philadelphia when it appears at WRFF Radio 104.5's fourth birthday show. The actual tour begins May 22 in Boston at House of Blues and includes May 24 at NYC's Terminal 5; May 27 in Atlanta at The Tabernacle; June 2 in Norfolk at the NorVA and June 5 at Toronto's Sound Academy.
"Vices & Virtues" marks Panic! At the Disco's first album since Ryan Ross and Jon Walker split from current band members Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith in 2009. There has been heavy promotion behind the new album, including a high-end music video for their first single "The Ballad of Mona Lisa," and a mini movie which features snippets from four songs off the upcoming new album. Both of the videos are riddled with innuendos towards the "old" Panic! At the Disco and Ryan Ross/Jon Walker's departure.
Joining the band on this summer tour will be label mates Fun. Foxy Shazam appears May 22-June 7 and Funeral Party joins the tour June 9-29.
Panic! At the Disco will be at the Pompano Beach Amphitheatre in Pompano Beach, Florida on Sunday May 29, 2011.
