The Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winner: Jerry Seinfeld, best known for starring in his eponymous NBC TV series SEINFELD, has continued to do what he does best; entertain. Most recently, Seinfeld directed, produced, and hosted the critically-acclaimed web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee (comediansincarsgettingcoffee.com and Crackle.com). In 2010, he directed his first stage show, Colin Quinn: Long Story Short. The production, initially Off-Broadway, became a hit on Broadway at the Helen Hayes Theatre and, eventually landed as a televised special on HBO.
Seinfeld’s beginnings trail back to 1989, when Jerry teamed up with fellow stand-up comedian Larry David to create THE SEINFELD CHRONICLES for Castle Rock Entertainment, which became a template for one of the most dominant series in the history of NBC television.
The show’s nine extraordinarily popular seasons garnered numerous accolades including the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series in 1993 and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 1995, 1997 and 1998. Currently in its seventh year of syndication, SEINFELD is still a front-runner in the ratings and has been credited as #1 on TV Guide’s poll of “The Greatest Shows of All Time”.
Venturing into the world of a younger audience, Seinfeld penned the best-selling children’s book “Halloween” (2003) and starred, wrote and produced the DreamWorks animated box office hit BEE MOVIE in 2007.
Jerry Seinfeld will be at the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on Friday and Saturday January 4 & 5, 2013.
