Goo Goo Dolls have extended their in-progress US run in light of the impending release of their long-awaited new studio set, "Something For The Rest of Us."
The Grammy-nominated alt-rockers continue the road trip tomorrow in Austin, followed by another 31 stops from coast to coast before the August 29th conclusion in Los Angeles.
The band will unleash its ninth studio effort, "Something For The Rest of Us," August 31st on the Warner Bros. label. Produced by Tim Palmer (David Bowie, U2) and Butch Vig (Green Day, Nirvana), the album marks the group's first collection of new material since 2006's "Let Love In."
"I wanted some of the material on this album to address the disillusionment of the difficult period we live in," frontman/guitarist Johnny Rzeznik stated in a press release. "I wanted to give a voice to the emotional uncertainty that accompanies hard times."
The album's lead single, "Home," is currently playing on mainstream radio stations nationwide and is available for purchase via iTunes.
Goo Goo Dolls will be at the Bayfront Park Amphitheatre in downtown Miami, Florida on Saturday August 14, 2010.
