Maxwell and Jill Scott announced plans to join forces for a spring co-headlining tour.The outing gets underway May 21, 2010 in Cleveland, OH and stops are planned in 19 additional cities through late June 2010, culminating in a June 25, 2010 finale at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Maxwell, who last fall mounted a headlining North American run, continues to support his chart-topping 2009 release, "BLACKsummers'night." The set is billed as the first in a trilogy, the second installment of which--"BlackSUMMERS'night"-- is due out this year. "Blacksummers'NIGHT," the final entry in the series, is expected to follow in 2011.
Jill Scott's roadtrip with Maxwell will pave the way for this summer's "The Light of the Sun," her first new studio album since 2007's "The Real Thing: Words and Sounds Vol. 3."
Maxwell and Jill Scott will be at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida on Monday June 14, 2010.
