Robert Plant and his all-star Band of Joy hit South Florida this Summer!

Robert Plant will preview material from a new studio album recorded with his all-star Band of Joy during a US tour in July 2010.

The 12-city trek gets underway July 13th in Memphis, TN, and concludes July 31st in Miami, with stops along the way in Phoenix, Dallas and Houston among the highlights.

Featuring the same backing group that will appear with him during the July dates: vocalist Patty Griffin, multi-instrumentalist Darrell Scott, bassist Byron House, drummer Marco Giovino and guitarist Buddy Miller, who also co-produced the forthcoming album -- Plant's still-untitled new studio set is due sometime later this year on the Rounder label, and will follow in the footsteps of the former Led Zeppelin frontman's recent roots-tinged efforts.

"It's been a blast working on these new songs... and I'm enjoying such creativity and vitality," Plant said in a statement. "It's been a remarkable change of direction for all of us and as a group we all seem to have developed a new groove."

Plant has kept a relatively low profile over the last year, since hauling home five Grammys for "Raising Sand," his collaboration with bluegrass star Alison Krauss. The pair's prize haul last February included awards for Album of the Year and Record of the Year for the set's single "Please Read the Letter."

The duo toured behind the release extensively last year and in 2008. Krauss has recently been working on new material in the recording studio with her longtime band, Union Station.

Robert Plant and his all-star Band of Joy will be at the Bayfront Park Amphitheatre in downtown Miami, Florida on Saturday July 31, 2010.
