Alicia Keys Brings her THE ELEMENT OF FREEDOM Tour to South Florida!

R&B musician Alicia Keys is currently dominating the singles charts with her collaboration with Jay-Z on "Empire State of Mind." But in the New Year, it will all be about Keys as she starts to piece together a headlining tour for the late winter and early spring months.

The native New Yorker has rolled out just 10 dates for her THE ELEMENT OF FREEDOM Tour as her schedule opens with a February 28th performance at Bell Centre in Montreal, QC. At present, the singer's routing is primarily focused in the Northeast, though the routing will eventually take her to the West Coast as she closes her jaunt on April 6th at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Along the way, Keys will make plenty of stops across the U.S. and Canada. Engagements are scheduled for March 10th at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON; March 17th at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY; and March 22nd at Agganis Arena in Boston, MA, among other planned stops.Keys is getting most of her current airplay for her feature with Jay-Z, but her fourth studio album "The Element of Freedom" was just released nationally on December 15, 2009. While Brit sensation Susan Boyle's debut album is expected to snag the lead spot for a fourth straight week on next week's Billboard 200, Keys' album is projected to have sales upwards of 350,000 units for a strong opening week, according to published reports.

The singer-pianist's past three albums all topped the Billboard 200 upon their release and have earned multi-Platinum status from the RIAA. Keys' smash debut "Songs in A Minor" is still her personal best with more than six million copies sold so far, though her 2007 single "No One" leads her singles with triple-Platinum status.

Alicia Keys' THE ELEMENT OF FREEDOM Tour will be at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida on Saturday March 27, 2010.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus bring their ZING ZANG ZOOM to South Florida!

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus presents ZING ZANG ZOOM, a thrill-filled, mind-blowing circus spectacular where fun for the entire family is no illusion.

Magical Zingmaster Alex and his assistant, the alluring Levitytia, lead audiences through a kaleidoscope of color and imagery revealing extraordinary worlds of fantasy, flight and phenomena that celebrates the uplifting spirit of the circus and wards off a cynical Mr. Gravity and his team of "heavies" who try to bring everyone down.

Be mesmerized when a four-ton elephant disappears before your eyes, and a gravity-inducing nemesis transforms across species into a ferocious tiger. Stand in awe as a dazzling trapeze artist performs a perilous, anatomically unimaginable one-arm speed-spin high atop the arena floor, and two formidable, female human cannonballs are blasted through the air in a daring, awe-inspiring display of bravery. Become electrified as the dangerous double wheel of steel, the gasp-inducing high wire and soaring gigantic swings defy both gravity and logic.

Fun-filled magic merges with traditional circus arts to create a world of infinite possibilities where apprentice illusionists levitate their parents with a wave of a wand, and audience spirits keep rising as the high flying circus is (literally) turned upside down. Perhaps the most magical of all, watch in amazement as an incomparable array of exotic animals including a herd of majestic Asian elephants, magnificent Bengal tigers and elegant Arabian and Friesian horses join forces with our human performers to create an experience that will surprise and delight 'children of all ages', rendering us speechless and reminding us that the magic of The Greatest Show On Earth lives forever in our hearts and imaginations.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus' ZING ZANG ZOOM will be at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida... Friday January 8, 2010 thru Monday January 18, 2010.

Henry Rollins Brings His FREQUENT FLYER TOUR to South Florida!

Punk poet/provocateur Henry Rollins will launch the initial North American leg of his latest spoken word tour in March 2010 following a slate of international dates.

FREQUENT FLYER TOUR kicks off March 2, 2010 in Clearwater, FL, and currently runs through an April 9th date in Madison, WI, including a seven-night stretch of shows in Canada.

Rollins continues to flourish in several modes of media simultaneously, even after his Independent Film Channel series, "The Henry Rollins Show," was canceled in 2007. Rollins has appeared in several episodes of the critically acclaimed FX series "Sons of Anarchy," and continues to host his own show on Santa Monica, CA, radio station KCRW.

Last year Rollins released "Provoked," his 15th live spoken word album. The CD portion of the dual CD/DVD combo was recorded in San Francisco in 2007 and the Netherlands in 2008 during Rollins' PROVOKED TOUR, and the DVD includes the Comedy Central special "Live and Ripped From London."

More recently, Rollins joined singer Peaches to provide between-track spoken interludes on The Flaming Lips' forthcoming digital-only revamp of Pink Floyd's classic 1973 album "Dark Side of the Moon." The set, titled "The Flaming Lips and Stardeath and White Dwarfs With Henry Rollins and Peaches Doing The Dark Side of the Moon," will be available for one week only through iTunes, beginning Tuesday (12/22/09).

Rollins rose to prominence in the early '80s as the frontman for punk band Black Flag and went on to form the Rollins Band, which last toured in 2006. In addition to performing live, acting and authoring books, he is an outspoken human rights activist.

Brooks & Dunn Bring their farewell tour THE LAST RODEO Tour to South Florida!

Superstar duo Brooks & Dunn said they weren’t about to call it a day as a recording duo without one more chance to party with their fans, and Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are ready to do it in style with the announcement of dates for their final tour, THE LAST RODEO. A celebration of their 20 great years together, the tour will launch on April 23, 2010, with 47 shows running through August 8, 2010.

Brian O’Connell, President, Nashville Touring, for Live Nation declared,
“THE LAST RODEO Tour is going to be a ‘must see’ for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is the amazing energy that Kix and Ronnie create on stage. I look forward to seeing what they have up their sleeves on a nightly basis, and I am confident that they will leave everything they have on the stage one final time in each city. Anyone who has ever seen a Brooks & Dunn show knows that they will be coming full tilt! I do not look at this tour as an ending, rather a celebration of their career by two of the greatest Artists that Country Music has ever known.”

The tour follows the recent release of Brooks & Dunn’s career-spanning double-disc collection, #1s … and then some, which features 30 favorites in all, including an amazing 23 #1 hits. Among the songs on #1s … and then some is the smash single, “Cowgirls Don’t Cry,” which earlier this week earned the duo their 15th career GRAMMY Award nomination.

Brooks & Dunn's THE LAST RODEO Tour will be at the Ford Amphitheatre in Tampa, Florida on Friday June 11, 2010 and at the Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida on Saturday June 12, 2010.

Semi Precious Weapons Replaces Kid Cudi on Lady GaGa's MONSTER BALL Tour!

Kid Cudi is no longer the opener for Lady Gaga's highly anticipated MONSTER BALL Tour. A statement released by the Cleveland-bred rapper cites scheduling conflicts as the reason for not completing the run.

"Kid Cudi has decided to take an early leave of absence from Lady Gaga's MONSTER BALL Tour in order to balance his schedule surrounding the recording of his next album and acting commitments," the statement read.
"Cudi does not want to disappoint his fans and will move forward with his individual show dates in December and throughout the month of January."

However, sources confirmed to the media that Cudi has indeed been dismissed as a result of the December 12, 2009 incident where the rapper assaulted a fan mid-performance at a Vancouver concert stop. After an unidentified attendee launched a wallet onstage, Cudi, instead of opening the wallet and possibly identifying the wallet-hurler, threw it back into the crowd where concertgoer Michael Sharpe caught it. The wallet, however, did not belong to Sharpe, so Sharpe threw it back onstage. Unfortunately for Sharpe, an enraged Cudi then jumped off stage and decked Sharpe. Unfortunately for Cudi, footage of the punch made it to the Internet.

Cudi is the second rapper to be "kicked off" a Lady Gaga tour. In October 2009, Kanye West and Lady Gaga mutually canceled their winter FAME KILLS tour blaming poor ticket sales as the reason. It was widely believed the slow ticket sales resulted from the negative media behind West's infamous interruption of Taylor Swift's Best Female Video acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. The Cudi camp still plans on honoring their currently booked after-show club appearances.

Semi Precious Weapons will replace Cudi on Gaga's MONSTER BALL Tour.

Lady GaGa's MONSTER BALL Tour will be at the James L. Knight Center in downtown Miami, Florida on New Year's Eve: Thursday December 31, 2009 and on Saturday January 2, 2010.

Mariah Carey Brings her ANGELS ADVOCATE 2010 Tour to South Florida!

Multi Grammy Award winning R&B-pop vocalist Mariah Carey is ringing in the New Year with her first full-fledged concert tour in a little over three years. The 20-date ANGELS ADVOCATE Tour launches January 2, 2010 at Borgata Event Center in Atlantic City, NJ, and continues through February 27 at the Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas, NV.

After the January 2 opening, Carey's calendar currently has a two-week gap before she continues her tour with a January 15-16 stand at the MGM Grand Theatre in Mashantucket, CT. Other planned performances include January 30 at the Wang Theatre in Boston, MA; February 13 at Chicago Theatre in Chicago, IL; and February 23 at Gibson Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.

Carey is also bound north of the border for three engagements in Canada on February 4 at Bell Centre in Montreal, QC; February 6 at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, ON; and February 9 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON.

Opening act on the tour is new R&B group RydazNrtist, which recently signed with NCredible Entertainment, the label run by Carey’s husband, Nick Cannon.

The tour is promoting Carey's twelfth studio album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel," which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 after its September 29 release. The debut was slightly lower than expected as Barbra Streisand grabbed the No. 1 position in a surprising sales week. Carey's two previous albums -- 2005's "The Emancipation of Mimi" and 2008's "E=MC2" -- both nabbed the top spot on the charts.

The last time Carey launched a full-fledged tour was with 2006's THE ADVENTURES OF MIMI Tour. However, the acclaimed singer did perform a mini-residency in Las Vegas earlier this season with a pair of two-night stands at the Pearl Concert Theater on September 11-12 and October 9-10, 2009.

Before launching the 2010 tour, Carey will kick off the New Year with a December 31 concert at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY. Her special guest for the New Year's Eve show will be Trey Songz.

Mariah Carey will be bringing her ANGELS ADVOCATE 2010 Tour to the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on Thursday January 21, 2010.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA Returns to South Florida!

Well remembered by local South Florida theater goers for its phenomenal run when it opened on February 26, 1991 as the premiere presentation of the newly built Broward Center for the Performing Arts… The US Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s monster hit musical THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA returns.

Based on the classic novel Le Fantome de l’Opera by Gaston Leroux, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA tells the story of a masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, exercising a reign of terror over all who inhabit it. He falls madly in love with an innocent young soprano, Christine, and devotes himself to creating a new star by nurturing her extraordinary talents and by employing all of the devious methods at his command. But you probably already knew that since over 80 million people in 124 cities in 25 countries have seen the Broadway musical adaptation of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.

The musical had its world premiere on October 9, 1986 at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London, winning every major British theatre award, including the Olivier and the Evening Standard Awards. The New York production opened on January 26, 1988, where it won seven 1988 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Worldwide, the show consistently plays to larger audiences and in longer engagements than any other musical in history.

On January 6, 2006, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA became the longest-running musical in Broadway history, surpassing CATS’ record-holding 18 year Broadway run (and 7,485 performances). The Oscar winning film adaptation was released in 2004 and starred Gerard Butler, Emmy Rossum, Patrick Wilson, Miranda Richardson and Minnie Driver.

The current tour stars Tim Martin Gleason as The Phantom, Sean MacLaughlin as Raoul and Trista Moldovan and Kelly Jeanne Grant alternate the role of Christine.

The US Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, directed by Harold Prince, begins performances at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on December 23, 2009, brings in the New Year, and runs through January 17, 2010.

The Black Eyed Peas Bring their THE E.N.D. World Tour 2010 to South Florida!

After a banner year of chart-topping singles and a best-selling album, the Black Eyed Peas have announced their THE E.N.D. World Tour 2010 -- their first North American headline tour in about four years.

The 32-date venture begins February 4, 2010 with a performance at Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA, and concludes April 11 at General Motors Place in Vancouver, BC. The hip-hop group's calendar also has them bound for shows on February 24 at Madison Square Garden in New York City; March 13 at United Center in Chicago, IL; and March 29 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Besides the final date of the tour leg, the Peas have only one other performance booked north of the border. A March 6 concert has been slated for Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON.

Though the Peas have toured around the world in 2007 and even earlier this fall, the quartet hasn't staged a North American leg since the 2006's MONKEY BUSINESS Tour. That outing featured nearly 30 concerts, including about 10 scheduled stops across the provinces.

The Black Eyed Peas are touring behind their fifth studio album "The E.N.D.," released in June 2009. The album debuted atop the Billboard 200 and was certified Platinum in a little over three months, with sales now nearing the 1.4 million mark.

In addition to their success with sales, the group has also been breaking records on the Billboard charts. The first single "Boom Boom Pow" had the distinction of being the longest-running single in the No. 1 slot on the Hot 100 with a consecutive 12 weeks. When the first single was bumped out of the top position, it was replaced instantly by another Peas track, "I Gotta Feeling." The second single went on for another record-breaking run of 14 consecutive weeks atop the chart.

The Black Eyed Peas will be at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida on Friday February 6, 2010.

The Who to play Half-Time Show at Super Bowl XLIV!

Another Super Bowl, another performance from a classic rock icon. Sports Illustrated is reporting this year's halftime spectacular will feature The Who. That's right: Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend and company will provide the musical fireworks when the Super Bowl XLIV game hits Miami on Sunday February 7, 2010.

Ever since the infamous Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake nipple fiasco in 2004, the NFL has gone with "veteran" acts and turned the reins over to one band or artist. Prior to that, there were often medleys and multiple acts, like No Doubt, Sting and Shania Twain in 2003 and the 2001 show that saw Aerosmith rocking 'Walk This Way' with Britney Spears and Timberlake. The Who certainly fit the newer mold, proving worthy successors to the recent run of Paul McCartney (2005), the Rolling Stones (2006), Prince (2007), Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (2008) and this year's performance by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

With the matchup still far from decided, one thing is for certain -- a stadium of 80,000 people rocking out to 'Won't Get Fooled Again' will sound great no matter what.

Super Bowl XLIV will be played at the LandShark Stadium in Miami, Florida on Sunday February 7, 2010.
