Australian pop vocal sensation Human Nature brings their Motown revue to South Florida!

Twenty-two years ago, the music of Motown traveled around the globe to Sydney, Australia, where four high school students – brothers Andrew and Mike Tierney, Phil Burton and Toby Allen – became instantly enamored. In sharp contrast to their country’s common obsession with “guitars, grunt and good old rock and roll,” these young gentleman embraced soul, gospel and harmony groups. Forming a singing group in tribute to their love of a cappella doo-wop, Human Nature was born.
Today, Human Nature is Australia’s leading pop vocal group, having released nine albums,  five of which went to #1 in their native continent, selling millions of records world-wide and garnering 23 platinum awards, 70 Top 40 hits and five Top 10 hits. The group has opened for Celine Dion and Michael Jackson in Europe and Australia.
Their chart-topping Motown tribute, REACH OUT, went five-times-platinum, attracting the attention of famed songwriter Smokey Robinson who presented them in an exclusive booking at Las Vegas’ Imperial Palace, where they played five and six nights a week to sold-out crowds for two-and-a-half years.
Human Nature is now ready to tackle the rest of America. Their first stateside release is “The Motown Record”, featuring 11 soul classics plus a bonus track, including “Get Ready,” the band’s collaboration with Smokey Robinson, distinctive doo-wop versions of “Ooh Baby Baby” and “Just My Imagination,” as well as the Four Tops’ “Reach Out I’ll Be There” and “Baby I Need Your Loving,” the Temptations’ “My Girl” and “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” Stevie Wonder’s “Uptight,” Martha and the Vandellas’ “Dancing in the Street” and the Supremes’ “Stop in the Name of Love.” The versions are faithful, yet updated and freshened, everything we’ve loved about them renewed and revitalized, performed and arranged by four guys who clearly love to sing and harmonize on these particular songs.
“Human Nature Sings Motown”, a telecast of the group’s Las Vegas show filmed by longtime Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich, was at the center of PBS’ fund-raising efforts last December, featuring an appearance by Smokey Robinson. A DVD version of the show includes 40 minutes of bonus content featuring the band discussing Motown’s enduring influence with the label’s legendary songwriters Lamont Dozier, Eddie and Brian Holland, all of whom have given their blessings to Human Nature, as well as more than 20 minutes of performances not shown in the original broadcast.
Human Nature’s many accomplishments include performing at the Summer Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 and performing on Oprah when the show was taped before thousands in Australia, but nothing beats making it in America, the home of not only Motown, but much of the music they are most passionate about.
Human Nature will be at the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida from November 27 to December 1, 2012.

Hot on the heels of her extravagant Super Bowl XLVI halftime performance, Madonna is currently performing around the world in support of her new album, “MDNA".
It’s the first time the Queen of Pop has gone on tour in three years.

Madonna’s previous tour, STICKY & SWEET World Tour, ran between 2008 and 2009.
She kicked-off her world tour with a concert in Tel Aviv, Israel on May 31st then set off through 26 European cities including London, Paris, Milan and Berlin.

P!nk finally returns to South Florida when she brings her THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE North American Tour!

New mom and recent Cover Girl, Pink recently dropped her sixth studio album, and the "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" singer has a shiny new North American tour to go along with it.

Before answering fan questions during a live Q&A, the singer unveiled the 25 cities she's hitting up on her THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE North American Tour, scheduled to kick off February 2013 in Phoenix.

Here are two things you need to know about THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE North American Tour that we learned from the always outspoken Pink during her recent ‘live’ chat:
1) Bob Mackie will be designing the tour outfits. Pink also worked with Mackie on her FUNHOUSE World Tour in 2009, and Pink revealed she's one of his favorite clients because she has the smallest chest. "Boobs are hard to dress," apparently.

2) Robyn is probably not going to be opening for Pink on the tour. When fans were throwing suggestions at her and the "Call Your Girlfriend" singer's name popped up, Pink wasn't thrilled about what Robyn had to say about Katy Perry when she was the opener during a leg on Katy's 2011 CALIFORNIA DREAMS World Tour: "If you're going to talk shit about me, at least wait for the last stop on the tour."
Pink will be at the BB&T Center (formerly the Bank Atlantic Center) in Sunrise/Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Monday February 25, 2013.

Broadway sensational JERSEY BOYS returns to South Florida!

More than a tribute or a concert featuring a repertoire of The Four Seasons' music, the Broadway musical JERSEY BOYS chronicles the life and the trying times of Franki Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi -- the four blue-collar workers hailing from the Garden State who became the iconic pop quartet: The Four Seasons.

This multi-Tony Award winning musical sheds light on the ups and downs of the 60's pop group particularly the life of its front man, Franki Valli, to the tunes of their greatest hits such as "Walk Like a Man", "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Sherry" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" and some original tunes and scores as well, composed by Bob Gaudio and The Four Seasons' producer and co-composer, Bob Crewe.
"A winner!"
as The New Yorker theater critic John Lahr puts it, JERSEY BOYS shows what stars and icons have to go through to withstand four decades of conflicts and arguments between themselves, controversies, life threatening situations and family troubles and yet, be able to leave a remarkable musical legacy that will be cherished by their fans and remembered by succeeding generations.
JERSEY BOYS is not recommended for all ages. The show contains smoke, gun shots, strobe lights, drug references, sexual situations and profane "authentic Jersey language."

JERSEY BOYS will be at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida from December 19 to January 6, 2013.

The Broadway musical hit MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET returns to South Florida!

The three-time Tony-nominated jukebox musical that puts Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins in the same room… MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET is based on the real-life 1956 recording that the foursome made at Sun Records' studio in Memphis, TN. Eric Schaeffer staged the musical that features a book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux; the latter conceived and originally directed the musical.

"On Dec. 4, 1956,
" press notes state,
"an auspicious twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley together. The place was Sun Records' storefront studio in Memphis. The man who made it happen was Sam Phillips, the 'Father of Rock 'n' Roll,' who discovered them all. The four legends-to-be united for the only time in their careers for an impromptu recording that has come to be known as one of the greatest rock jam sessions of all time. . . . MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET captures the infectious spirit, freewheeling excitement and thrilling sounds of a singular moment when four of the music industry's most extraordinary talents, all in their creative prime, came together for one of the most memorable nights in music history."

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET features a score of rock hits that includes "Blue Suede Shoes," "Fever," "That's All Right," "Sixteen Tons," "Great Balls of Fire," "Walk the
Line," "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On," "Who Do You Love?," "Real Wild Child," "Folsom Prison Blues" and "Hound Dog”, among others.

Comic legend Steven Wright heads to South Florida!

Known for his slow, monotone delivery of ironic but clever jokes and one-liners, this New York native is a man of many talents.

Wright began his comic career at the age of 23 and has appeared in movies, TV sitcoms like "Mad About You" and several hit HBO specials. His album "I Have a Pony" was nominated for a Grammy, and he was voted one of the top 50 comedians by The Comedian's Comedian, while ranking in the top 25 of Comedy Central's greatest stand up comedians of all time.

His success, says the New York Times, "rests on the simplest of foundations: one man on a stage, his face and voice devoid of expression, delivering a steady stream of surreal riffs on the inherent absurdity of the universe and the infinite slipperiness of language."

With memorable one-liners like "You can't have everything. Where would you put it?" and "I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize," you won't want to miss his latest round of fresh and funny bits.
Steven Wright will be at the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Saturday November 3, 2012.
