The JERSEY BOYS originals: Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons head to South Florida!

During the 1960's British Invasion of bands like The Beatles and the Rolling Stones, few American bands had a chance. But Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons persevered and were more successful during that time period than any other.

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons were formed in 1961 with Frankie Valli as lead singer, Bob Gaudio on keyboards, Nick Massi on bass and Tommy Devito on lead guitar. By 1962, they had already released multiple #1 singles.

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons released their first album in 1962, “Sherry & 11 Others”, which included their first two #1 singles on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, "Sherry" and "Big Girls Don't Cry." Their third single, "Walk Like a Man" also reached #1 status on the Hot 100 chart when it was released off of “Big Girls Don't Cry and 12 Others” (in 1963), the group's third album. They went onto release 50 US albums over the life of the band, with the last album being “Jersey Beat: The Music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons” (in 2007).

On November 6, 2005, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons were immortalized on the Broadway stage with the opening of the jukebox musical bio JERSEY BOYS. Using the group’s hits, the musical tells the story of the boys growing up in New Jersey and how they became The Four Seasons. JERSEY BOYS, a huge international hit still enjoying successful runs on Broadway, Las Vegas, London, etc., accurately depicts the music and lives of the group.

While the members of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons have changed many times over the years, the music and the memories haven't.

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons will be at the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on Friday & Saturday March 2 & 3, 2012.

Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr. bring their 43rd Anniversary Tour to South Florida!

Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr. have enjoyed tremendous success through the years as recording artists, performers and authors. They have received seven Grammy Awards and earned 15 gold and three platinum records and enjoyed starring roles on television and stage. They have performed to sold-out concerts around the world.

As lead vocalists of The 5th Dimension, one of the top singing groups of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, McCoo and Davis recorded such classics as “Up, Up & Away,” “Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In,” “Wedding Bell Blues,” “One Less Bell to Answer,” “Stoned Soul Picnic” and other chart toppers.

After more than a decade with The 5th Dimension, they decided to leave the group and establish themselves as a duo. They had immediate success with the #1 single, “You Don’t Have to be a Star (to be in My Show)” that earned them a Grammy for Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group.

That success piqued network interest and CBS-TV premiered The Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jr. Show as a prime-time summer series in 1977. Entering the ‘80s as an international success, they headlined in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe and Atlantic City, played to SRO crowds in concerts across the country and won the prestigious Grand Prize at the international Tokyo Music Festival.

In addition to the success they’ve had together, McCoo and Davis have also enjoyed solo pursuits. McCoo hosted the popular 1980s television music series Solid Gold for five years and Davis had the chance to realize a lifelong dream to record a religious album with gospel great, the Rev. James Cleveland, entitled, “Let Me Have a Dream.” He also began to explore theatrical opportunities, starring in the hit musical BLUES IN THE NIGHT at the prestigious Old Globe Theatre and in the role of James “Thunder” Early in a regional production of DREAMGIRLS.

The duo were invited to perform for the Pontiff during the 1987 U.S. visit of Pope John Paul II, and have participated in inaugural celebrations for presidents of the United States. In the early ‘90s, McCoo and Davis joined the original members of The 5th Dimension for a special reunion tour, and in August, 1991, the group was honored with a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.

In 2004, the couple wrote a book which shares their secrets of staying happy and committed to each other in Hollywood entitled “Up, Up and Away…How We Found Love, Faith and Marriage in the Entertainment World.”

McCoo and Davis recently released the CD, “The Many Faces of Love”, a collection of love songs and hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s written by the top songwriters of the period: Bacharach & David, Michel LeGrand and Marilyn & Alan Bergman, Ashford & Simpson and Holland, Dozier & Holland, to name a few. The CD’s unique interactive features include videos, interviews, rare photos and more.

Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr. will be at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday February 5, 2012.

Waterloo brings their hit ABBA tribute show ABBA: The Concert back to South Florida!

The original ABBA was a smash dance and pop sensation imported from Sweden in the 70’s that went on to sell more than 365 million records. They proved themselves to be one of the most enduring and successful groups of all time, having dominated the record charts for nearly eight years. Their music is still capturing new fans with the global stage musical sensation MAMMA MIA!, which uses their catalogue of songs as its score. The stage show was made into a hit 2008 film starring Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan and Dominic Cooper.

Although the original members of ABBA have not performed together since 1983, their recognizable sound and alluring stage performance can be experienced through the band “Waterloo”. Waterloo pays tribute to ABBA and includes original members from ABBA’s band.

Waterloo was formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1996 and quickly became known for its fantastic ABBA-sound and their stunning look-alike show. The band takes audiences back to an unforgettable time in pop history when glittering clothes and platform shoes dominated the music scene. The audience and press agreed, “This is the closest to ABBA you’ll ever get.”

During the late ‘90s, Waterloo toured clubs and festivals all around Scandinavia, Belgium and Asia. From 2001- 2008, Waterloo went into collaboration with Danish company CSE and the London National Symphony Orchestra, and “ABBA The Show” was born. The concert told the story of ABBA, and first appeared in Skien, Norway in September, 2001. This first show was followed by hundreds of additional performances all over the world. In total, Waterloo has performed approximately 1,000 shows in more than 25 countries.

During these tours, the show has always consisted of two or three guest artists who once were original members of the ABBA rhythm section. Over the years, original ABBA musicians have performed with Waterloo including Mike Watson (bass player), and Johan Stengaard (saxophone player), both of whom will be performing at the Luhrs Center engagement.

Waterloo's latest "ABBA: The Concert" will guide audiences through ABBA's musical history with all the classic hits and with a sound and look that bring back memories and the nostalgia of that era. Waterloo will amaze you with their period instruments, vintage costumes, hairstyles, on stage mannerisms, speaking voices, and unmistakable harmonies which capture the essence of ABBA.

Even the official ABBA Fan Club has named this tour: “the best ABBA tribute band in the world”!

ABBA: The Concert will be at the The Fillmore at the Jackie Gleason Theatre in Miami Beach, Florida on Friday January 20, 2012.

After two years of rumors, Van Halen is finally hitting the road. The five-month tour comes on the heels of their twelfth studio album release, “A Different Kind of Truth,” set to hit stores in early February 2012. “A Different Kind of Truth” will be Van Halen’s first new album since the release of “Van Halen III” back in 1998.

“What’s so exciting about the upcoming Van Halen tour, other than having David Lee Roth back on board, is the fact that they’ll be playing brand new material.” “This is the first time Van Halen will release material with David Lee Roth fronting since 1984!”

The current Van Halen lineup includes: front man David Lee Roth, drummer Alex Van Halen, guitarist Eddie Van Halen and his son (with actress Valerie Bertinelli): bassist Wolfgang Van Halen. Drake debuts his CLUB PARADISE 2012 Tour in South Florida!

Drake is inviting you to Club Paradise. The Take Care rapper has announced dates for a 2012 headlining tour.

Drake's CLUB PARADISE Tour will kick off on Valentine's Day (the same day fellow Young Money family member Nicki Minaj drops her album “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded”) in Miami before circling 17 cities in North America, with stops in party spots like New Orleans, Austin and San Diego. The tour name pays homage to a track Drizzy dropped back in September 2011.

The tour will visit colleges across the U.S. before wrapping up the North American leg on March 11 in San Diego. Drake will then head to Europe for a string of additional dates, according to Pressparty.

And Drake isn't going at it alone. As previously confirmed, he'll be joined by Hottest Breakthrough MC contenders Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky.

"I spent a lot of time out there in Toronto; that's what this album is about," Drake recently explained. "That's what I'm gonna showcase. It's the same thing with the tour: I wanna bring Kendrick, I wanna bring A$AP, those are guys that I love. It has nothing to do with people on my label," he added. "Tyga's out, Nicki's working on an album and everybody else is doing their thing on the road with Wayne or with Wayne in the studio, so I just sort of showcased the music that I happen to love right now, and those are the two guys that I'm bringing out."

"I fought for this tour, I fought really hard for this tour because, of course, they want me to go get the big bucks, go into the stadiums and cash out," Drake revealed to MTV News in October 2011 about the decision to play more intimate shows. "But I was just like, I really made this album for the same people that supported me since day one."

In addition to a tour, Drake and Rick Ross plan to drop the Y.O.L.O. (You Only Live Once) mixtape. "The music is most definitely official," Ross said. "But, you know, me being a boss, I'm trying to find a way that we could put that on the shelves for the world, baby. But it's most definitely official." The release rides on the heels of Drake's chart-topping Take Care, which dropped in November 2011.

Drake will be at the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, Florida on Tuesday February 14, 2012.

Hollywood icon George Hamilton headlines the LA CAGE AUX FOLLES Tour!

The producers of the 2010 Broadway revival of the musical LA CAGE AUX FOLLES are proud to announce that George Hamilton stars in the new national tour of the show as Georges.
The 1st National Tour of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES is produced by Barry and Fran Weissler, Sonia Friedman Productions and David Babani in association with NETworks Presentations.

LA CAGE AUX FOLLES tells the story of Georges, the owner of a glitzy nightclub in lovely Saint-Tropez, and his partner Albin, who moonlights as the glamorous chanteuse Zaza. When Georges' son brings his fiancée's conservative parents home to meet the flashy pair, the bonds of family are put to the test as the feather boas fly! LA CAGE AUX FOLLES is a tuneful and touching tale of one family's struggle to stay together... stay fabulous... and above all else, stay true to themselves!

George Hamilton is noted for his dashing, sporting, jet-setter image and perpetually bronzed skin tones in commercials, dramatic and comedic film roles and reality shows.

George Hamilton with his exceedingly handsome looks and attractive personality, he took a bold chance and moved to Los Angeles in the late 1950s. Metro Goldwyn Mayer wasted no time putting him in films following some guest appearances on TV. His first film, a lead in “Crime & Punishment, USA” (1959), was an offbeat, updated adaptation of the Fyodor Dostoevsky novel. He was the recipient of a Golden Globe for "Most Promising Newcomer" as well as being nominated for "Best Foreign Actor" by the British Film Academy (BAFTA). This in turn led to an enviable series of film showcases such as “Home from the Hill”, “All the Fine Young Cannibals”, “Light in the Piazza” and “Two Weeks in Another Town”.

He performed several roles in numerous films but is best known for MGM films in the 1960s' “Where the Boys Are”, a coming-of-age romantic comedy in which Hamilton played a smooth Ivy League type. Hamilton made two memorable bio-pics: “Your Cheatin' Heart” in 1964, in which he portrayed the country-western music legend Hank Williams and in 1971, “Evel Knievel”, the life story of the motorcycle daredevil.

As the 1960s began to unfold, George Hamilton started making headlines more as a handsome escort to the rich, the powerful and the beautiful than as an acclaimed actor -- none more so than his 1966 squiring of President Lyndon B. Johnson's daughter Lynda Bird Johnson. From the 1970s on, George tended to be tux-prone on standard film and TV comedy and drama, whether as a martini-swirling opportunist, villain or lover. A wonderful comeback for him came in the form of the disco-era Dracula spoof “Love at First Bite” (1979), which he executive-produced. Nominated for a Golden Globe as the campy neck-biter displaced and having to fend off the harsh realities of New York living, he continued on the parody road successfully with “Zorro, the Gay Blade” (1981) in the very best Mel Brooks tradition.

This renewed popularity led to a one-year stint on "Dynasty" (1981) during the 1985-1986 season and a string of fun, self-mocking commercials, particularly his Ritz Cracker appearance that often spoofed his overly tanned appearance. In 1989 he started a line of skin-care products and a chain of tanning salons. On the tube he can still pull off a good time, whether playing flamboyant publisher William Randolph Hearst in “Rough Riders” (1997) (TV), playing the best-looking Santa Claus ever in “A Very Cool Christmas” (2004) (TV), hosting beauty pageants or making breezy gag appearances.

He has broken through the "reality show" ranks by hosting "The Family" (2003) and participating in the second season of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" (2005), where his charm and usual impeccable tailoring scored higher than his limberness.

Hamilton was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2009, on his 70th birthday.

LA CAGE AUX FOLLES recently made Tony Awards history as the first show to ever win the Tony Award three times for best production. The classic musical comedy by Jerry Herman and Harvey Fierstein originally won six Tony Awards in 1984, including Best Musical. A Broadway revival won two 2005 Tony Awards including the Best Revival of a Musical prize. The new, freshly reconceived LA CAGE won three 2010 Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical and Best Director of a Musical (Terry Johnson).

The production is also the winner of three Drama Desk Awards, including Outstanding Revival of a Musical, four Outer Critics Circle Awards, including Outstanding Revival of a Musical and Outstanding Director of a Musical (Terry Johnson) and the Drama League Award for Distinguished Revival of a Musical.

LA CAGE AUX FOLLES features music and lyrics by Jerry Herman and book by Harvey Fierstein, based on the play by Jean Poiret.

The 1st National Tour of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES will be at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, Florida from February 14 thru 19, 2012 and at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from June 12 thru 24, 2012.
