Courtney Love brings her Hole to South Florida for Fourth of July Weekend!

Courtney Love and a rejuvenated Hole have begun mapping dates for a summer tour in support of the band's first album in 12 years, "Nobody's Daughter".

The group, which played the first of two sold-out shows last week in Los Angeles ahead of two more sold-out New York City appearances this week, has only unveiled the first four cities for the trek, kicking off June 22nd in Philadelphia and also including stops in Boston, Miami Beach, Washington, DC, and Montclair, NJ.

Last week the band postponed all of its non-UK European schedule, which was slated to get underway next month, due to "a legal matter stateside," according to a press statement. More information about the tour, including the still-planned UK dates, can be found at the official Hole website.

"Nobody's Daughter," Hole's fourth studio album and first since 1998's "Celebrity Skin," was released on April 23rd. The inspiration for the album came when Love was serving a six-month court-ordered rehabilitation stint in a locked-down treatment center and was visited by longtime friend and collaborator Linda Perry (formerly of 4 Non Blondes), who encouraged Love to write new material.

"My hand-eye coordination was so bad, I didn't even know chords anymore," Love told Billboard last year. "It was like my fingers were frozen. And I wasn't allowed to make noise (in rehab). So I'd sit there and try to quietly write and struggle. I never thought I would work again. No one is ever going to talk to me. I'm never going to get a record deal. I'm never going to get on stage again. So, I just kept writing. This is a very personal album."

Love enlisted help from Perry and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan to help record the album, along with the production skills of Michael Beinhorn (Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers).

The first single from the album, "Skinny Little Bitch," was released in March 2010.

With lead guitarist and founding member Eric Erlandson not returning from the band's last active lineup, Love is the only remaining original member of Hole. The group currently consists of Love, guitarist Micko Larkin, bassist Shawn Dailey and drummer Stu Fischer.

Hole will be at The Fillmore at the Jackie Gleason Theatre in Miami Beach, Florida on Friday July 2, 2010.

Andre Rieu brings his CELEBRATION OF MUSIC 2010 TOUR to South Florida!

Andre Rieu, the world's most popular classical musician known for his energetic and festive live concerts, has added a second leg to his CELEBRATION OF MUSIC 2010 North American Tour. The fall leg will start on November 29th at the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, AZ, and includes concerts in Los Angeles, CA; Las Vegas, NV; San Diego, CA; Seattle, WA; Ontario, CA; Sunrise, FL and Tampa, FL; as well as previously announced concerts in San Jose, CA and Vancouver, BC.

The aptly titled CELEBRATION OF MUSIC TOUR describes what fans can expect to experience during Rieu's 2010 North American performances. These aren't ordinary concerts, but celebrations of music in all its wonderful and powerful aspects featuring Andre Rieu, accompanied by his 60-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra.

"Music is the most wonderful thing in the world - it triggers emotions," says Andre Rieu. "I want to bring joy with an ode to waltzes, polkas, romantic ballads and many more beautiful melodies. It will be a very special night."

"His fans in the USA will love this new show," says Marthijn Graafland, Director North America at Andre Rieu Productions and the promoter for this tour. "Especially since this tour is in the midst of the holiday period, it is not to be missed. In Europe, his Christmas concerts attract over 20,000 fans a night. Andre is known for creating the perfect holiday show atmosphere."

Andre Rieu is one of the best-selling live acts in the world. Billboard ranked Rieu's 2009 tour as the sixth best seller of the year, with 835,000 tickets sold worldwide. In 2008 and 2009, he toured the globe with a replica of the Viennese Schonbrunn castle, to which he added fountains and two ice rinks to make it the biggest stage in the world. Rieu, who has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, travels with his own Johann Strauss Orchestra, and an entourage of more than 100 people in total. His concerts are known for their festive atmosphere, where fans are encouraged to get out of their seats and waltz in the aisles. His latest album reached #2 on the UK pop charts, and he is been certified 100-times platinum in Australia, while he also has his own television series in the Netherlands. Due to the recent eruption of the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajokull, Rieu himself chartered a plane for more than 100 employees to fly to South Africa, rather than disappointing fans of his current tour there.

Andre Rieu (with his Johann Strauss Orchestra) will be at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida on Thursday December 9, 2010.

50 Cent brings his THE INVITATION Tour to South Florida!

50 Cent is set to roll on a late spring US tour in support of his latest studio album, last fall's "Before I Self Destruct."

The trek... titled THE INVITATION Tour, which comes after two months of European dates for the performer, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, kicks off May 28th in Cleveland and will close June 25th in Atlantic City, NJ.

"Before I Self Destruct," the rapper's long-delayed fourth studio album, finally surfaced last November 2009 after initially being slotted for release two years earlier; the set was held back so that Jackson could concentrate on a different album, "Curtis," which ended up being Jackson's 2007 release.

The new album, which sold 160,000 copies in its first week in stores, comes packaged with a DVD movie of the same name, which was written by, directed by and stars Jackson. The film, a coming-of-age story, focuses on an inner-city youth raised by a hardworking single mother.

The set features production by Dr. Dre, DJ Khalil, Havoc, Mark Batson and others, along with guest appearances from Eminem, Ne-Yo and Governor. The album's most recent single, "Do You Think About Me," shipped to radio stations in January 2010.

On his current tour, Jackson has been introducing material from his next album, which will be titled "Black Magic" and is tentatively scheduled for a summer release. In an interview with British DJ Tim Westwood, Jackson said the forthcoming album would be inspired by European dance music.

50 Cent will be at The Fillmore at the Jackie Gleason Theatre in Miami Beach, Florida on Tuesday June 15, 2010.

Crosby, Stills & Nash bring their 2010 tour to South Florida!

With a West Coast leg kicking off next month, Crosby, Stills & Nash have added tour dates throughout the eastern portion of the nation following a July 2010 excursion to Europe.

The tour, which kicks off with a May 21st appearance at the Sonoma Jazz Festival in Sonoma, CA, now has another 16 shows tacked onto the itinerary, including a second night in Saratoga, CA. The outing is now slated to wrap up September 1st in Lenox, MA.

CSN: David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash... continues to work on a new covers-only studio album with producer Rick Rubin. The set (the group's first since 1999's effort with Neil Young, "Looking Forward") reportedly will include versions of Gregg Allman's "Midnight Rider" and Bob Dylan's "Girl From North Country."

"Rick Rubin's a brilliant man," Graham Nash told Billboard.com last year, "and what he wants is an album with no CSN songs. He wants to do an album of all the songs we love, all the songs we wish we've written. It's brilliant from this point of view because we usually wait five years to record an album. This way there's no pressure."

Last summer, the group released "Demos," a collection of demo versions and various odds and ends recorded between 1968 and 1971. One track from the album, "Marrakesh Express," is currently streaming at the group's website.

Crosby, Stills & Nash will be at the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on Friday October 1, 2010.

CELEBRITY APPRENTICE Star and 80's Icon: Cyndi Lauper... heads to South Florida!

With the sold-out start to her spring and summer tour just kicked-off, Cyndi Lauper has filled out the forthcoming slate with a handful of new US stops.

The singer, songwriter and actress got off to a slow start last week when she performed two sold-out West Coast concerts: April 9th in Rancho Mirage, CA, and April 10th in Grande Ronde, OR.

The road trip gets more intense come summer, when the "True Colors" star kicks off the outing June 25th in Morristown, NJ. Since last check, 12 performances have been tacked onto to the schedule, including gigs in Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Houston and San Diego, among others.

Lauper recently traveled to Memphis to record material for a new studio effort, which she told her followers on Twitter would be a "blues album."

"I came to Memphis to find the roots of the music I've been singing all my life," the singer posted last month on her website.
"I also came to sing with the people who made the music that started me on my path. I don't even know if I'll be good enough to sing with them. But I'm going to try anyway."

The new album, when released, will follow 2008's dance-oriented "Bring Ya to the Brink," which featured guest appearances by Basement Jaxx, The Scumfrog, Digital Dog and Washington, DC-based DJ Richard Morel, who co-produced four of the album's tracks with Lauper.

In addition to her upcoming appearances on the road, Lauper currently can be seen competing in the second season of Donald Trump's CELEBRITY APPRENTICE series on NBC. The singer reportedly plans to pursue her own reality show in the near future.

"I have also signed with Mark Burnett Productions to do a reality show," the flamboyant songstress mentioned in an interview last month with The New York Times.
"It's early days, but I definitely want it to have some comedy. Nobody wants me to be serious, me included."

Cyndi Lauper will be at the Knight Concert Hall at the Arsht Center in downtown Miami, Florida on Tuesday August 3, 2010.

Roger Waters brings THE WALL Live Tour to South Florida!

Roger Waters has confirmed dates for his long-rumored full-album performances of Pink Floyd's "The Wall," announcing a 33-city North American outing to launch this fall.

The trek, which gets underway September 15th in Toronto, will travel to most parts of the US and several Canadian cities during its three-month run, with multi-night stops in Chicago, Philadelphia and Los Angeles.

According to a press release, the 1979 concept album has previously been performed in its entirety only 31 times, most of them by Pink Floyd during the 1980-81 tour supporting the set, and again in 1990, when Waters performed it with an all-star cast to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall.

"This new production of 'The Wall' is an attempt to draw some comparisons, to illuminate our current predicament, and is dedicated to all the innocent lost in the intervening years," said Waters, who played his former band's 1973 classic "The Dark Side of the Moon" in full during his 2007-08 tour, in a press statement.

According to a 2008 interview with the Rocky Mountain News, the performer continues to work on his long-rumored next solo project, tentatively titled "Heartland," although a release date does not appear to be imminent. "I have a ton of songs I've written," Waters said.
"I keep meaning to get around to going in the studio and making it into an album."

Waters' most recent rock solo album is 1992's "Amused to Death," although he released "Ca Ira," an opera in three acts based on the French Revolution, on Sony's classical-music label in 2005.

New Kids on the Block bring their 2010 Tour to South Florida!

Just a couple weeks after announcing their 2010 tour plans, New Kids on the Block have added encore performances to their spring run of North America.

The Boston pop stars will begin the jaunt with a two-night stand May 7-8 in Las Vegas, followed by shows in six cities. Since last check, extra nights have been added in Mashantucket, CT, Hammond, IN and New York City.

"We've let our fans dictate this whole ride," Donnie Wahlberg said in a recent press release. "They've been the ones to guide us through this whole journey. They want more, we'll give them more, and we'll enjoy every moment along the way."

NKOTB released "The Block," the band's first studio album in 15 years, in 2008. The set peaked at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Canadian Albums chart.

Earlier this month, the band released "Coming Home," a live DVD featuring 84 minutes of performances culled from the band's recent world tour, as well as behind-the-scenes footage and more.

As teenagers, the New Kids: Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre, Jordan Knight, Jonathan Knight and Danny Wood, sold more than 70 million records and racked up back-to-back No. 1 albums with 1988's "Hangin' Tough" and 1990's "Step by Step." Following a slew of R&B/pop crossover hits and several world tours, the group quietly disbanded in 1994.

The veteran Canadian power trio launches the 37-city outing June 29th in Albuquerque, NM. The trek stretches through September before wrapping October 2nd in West Palm Beach, FL.

"Moving Pictures," originally released in 1981, is Rush's most successful album. The set produced radio classics in "Tom Sawyer" and "Limelight," and has been certified quadruple platinum in the US.

Rush will likely be playing new material on the road, fruits of its ongoing recording sessions with producer Nick Raskulinecz, who co-helmed the group's most recent effort, 2007's "Snakes & Arrows," as the band moves toward completion of its 20th studio album.

"We were off for a year and a half, and now it's just pouring," guitarist Alex Lifeson said in a press statement.
"Everything is totally crazy and there's not a minute left in the day. We've got these half-dozen songs, and we'll probably go in the studio and work on a couple of them and see how it goes, perhaps release something -- and I say perhaps -- and then we plan on being on the road."

The band played more than 100 shows during its previous tour in support of "Snakes & Arrows," grossing nearly $65 million on the trip, which launched in the summer of 2007 and concluded more than a year later.

John Mayer returns to South Florida with his BATTLE STUDIES WORLD Tour!

John Mayer has added summer dates to his World Tour plans in 2010, extending his ongoing trek in support of last fall's "Battle Studies," the singer/songwriter's fourth studio album.

The summer outing gets underway July 16th in Charlotte, NC, concluding two months later with a September 11th show in West Palm Beach, FL. The current spring leg of the trek, which kicked off in early February 2010 with eight dates remaining before the leg wraps April 10th in Chicago.

Co-produced by Mayer and Steve Jordan, "Battle Studies" surfaced last November 2009, debuting at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 with sales of 286,000 copies during its first week. The set is described by the artist as a "confessional, relaxed and liberated album" that incorporates "the warmth, melodies and simplicity of '70s and '80s California rock/pop," according to a press release.

"I approach music like a director doing a period piece," Mayer said. "Where 'Continuum' was R&B and Soul, 'Battle Studies' was written with the timelessness of Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac and Neil Young in mind. The melodies and message are concise and from-the-gut with the efficiency of simplicity."

Mayer's previous studio album, 2006's "Continuum," earned the performer three 2007 Grammy nods, and two wins: Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for the album's first single, "Waiting on the World to Change."

John Mayer will be at the Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida on Saturday September 11, 2010.
