Legendary comedian Jackie Mason heads to South Florida!

Once in a generation, a performer emerges who is so extraordinary, so brilliant, that he or she become the standard to whom all others are compared. Jackie Mason is such a performer, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest stand-up comics of all time. Now more popular than ever, Mason combines pungent political satire, insightful observations on the foibles of modern life and impeccable timing to create material that leaves audiences laughing until they cry and critics raving show after show.

From humble comic beginnings in New York, the Borscht Belt, and comedy clubs around the country, Jackie Mason rose to be one the hottest comics in America in the early 1960's. He reached the apex of American entertainment culture when he became a regular performer on the nation's preeminent television variety program, "The Ed Sullivan Show," only to fall into Sullivan's disfavor over the interpretation of a now legendary hand gesture during a live performance in 1962, an incident which cast a shadow over Mason's career for more than a decade.

Over the years, Jackie Mason has appeared in a variety of films and television shows, most notably CADDYSHACK II which won him a new, younger, hipper urban following and the TV sitcom, "Chicken Soup", which taught him that he's only happy when he's performing his own material. Recently, Jackie started a new phase of his career, producing feature films with his manager and wife Jyll, and also starring in them. ONE ANGRY MAN, his first, will be released in early 2011, and he recently just finished shooting IN A PICKLE, which will be released sometime in 2011.

Jackie Mason will be at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday March 6, 2011.

RUSH brings back their TIME MACHINE TOUR to South Florida!

One of the truly successful tours of 2010, Live Nation recently announced that due to overwhelming audience response, the revered RUSH TIME MACHINE TOUR will return to North America for a selection of dates.

The TIME MACHINE TOUR is an evening with RUSH – performing their classics, providing a taste of the future, and featuring the legendary “Moving Pictures” album ‘live’ in its entirety.

RUSH: Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart, is without question one of the most inventive and compelling groups in rock history, equally famed for both its virtuoso musicianship and provocative songwriting.

And it’s not just the fans who after 35+ years are still passionate about this band, RUSH was also just honored with Billboard Magazine’s highest touring accolade the “Legend Of Live” Award in New York City. RUSH also received the “Living Legends” award in Britain this year. Responding to the fan and media support for the recent album and tour, singer/bassist Geddy Lee said, “’Moving Pictures’ is our most popular album and one that seems to have passed the test of time most gracefully.” Adding, “We’re playing better than ever and I’m not sure we’re quite ready to put this tour away.”

RUSH has sold more than 40 million records worldwide and garnered untold legions of devoted and admiring fans. According to the RIAA, RUSH’s sales statistics place them third after The Beatles and The Rolling Stones for the most consecutive gold or platinum studio albums by a rock band.

Additional accolades include their induction into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame this past March alongside Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen and Gordon Lightfoot, RUSH has also been nominated for multiple Grammy awards and received a number of Juno Awards. They were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1994 and bestowed the Order of Canada in 1997. Consistently celebrated and respected worldwide, RUSH is the most successful Canadian rock band of all time and they remain one of the biggest grossing arena rock bands ever.

Released in 1981, “Moving Pictures” was their most successful album, certified 4x Platinum and features some of RUSH’s most well known songs and perennial radio favorites “Tom Sawyer”, “Limelight” and the Grammy-nominated instrumental “YYZ”.

Despite the touring schedule, RUSH is currently working on their 20th studio album, “Clockwork Angels”, with producer Nick Raskulinecz. The band has released two new songs from the forthcoming album, Parts I & II with “BU2B” and “Caravan” earlier this year which are also featured in the live set. Both tracks are available now as digital downloads.

To benefit the relief efforts in Haiti, one dollar of each ticket sold will be donated through several charities including “Doctors Without Borders”. RUSH will also contribute a portion of their proceeds at the culmination of the tour.

RUSH will be at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise/Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Wednesday March 30, 2011.

People come from all around the nation and it truly has a positive impact on the local economy. The Beach Boys ring in the New Year in South Florida!

A legendary American band, The Beach Boys have had 36 Top 40 hits (the most of any U.S. rock band) and 56 Hot 100 hits, including four #1 singles. Rolling Stone magazine listed The Beach Boys as #12 in their 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.

Formed in 1961 in Hawthorne, California, the group was initially composed of brothers Brian, Carl and Dennis Wilson, their cousin Mike Love and friend Al Jardine. Managed by the Wilsons' father, The Beach Boys signed to Capitol Records in 1962. The band's early music gained popularity across the nation for its close vocal harmonies and lyrics reflecting a Southern California youth culture of surfing, cars, and romance.

In mid-1962, the Beach Boys released their major-label debut, “Surfin' Safari”. The title track hit the Top 20 and helped launch the surf rock craze just beginning to blossom around Southern California (thanks to artists like Dick Dale, Jan & Dean, The Chantays and dozens more). A similarly themed follow-up, “Surfin' U.S.A.”, hit the Top Ten in early 1963. The third Beach Boys LP also released in 1963, “Surfer Girl”, featured the title track, "Catch A Wave" and "In My Room."

The following year, "I Get Around" became the first number one hit for the Beach Boys. Riding a crest of popularity, the 1964 LP Beach Boys Concert spent four weeks at the top of the album charts, just one of five Beach Boys albums simultaneously on the charts. The single "Help Me, Rhonda" became the Beach Boys' second chart-topper in early 1965. Other releases including “The Beach Boys Today!”, “Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!)” and “Beach Boys' Party” followed in 1965. The singles "California Girls" and "Barbara Ann" became surprise hits.

The band reached its peak in 1966 with “Pet Sounds” and the #1 single "Good Vibrations." "Good Vibrations," had originally been written for the “Pet Sounds” sessions, though Brian Wilson removed it from the song list to give himself more time for production. He resumed working on it after the completion of “Pet Sounds”, eventually devoting up to six months (and three different studios) on the single. The single capped off the year as the group's third #1 single and, according to some critics, still stands as one of the best singles of all time.

Today, The Beach Boys continue to tour and excite audiences of all ages with their distinctive and melodic signature California surfing’ sound. The year 2011 will mark the 50th anniversary of the band.

The Beach Boys will ring in the New Year at the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on December 31, 2010.

Juanes brings his P.A.R.C.E. Tour to South Florida!

Born in Medellin, Colombia, Juanes was caught in the nets of music from an early age, influenced by found sounds from the music from the outskirts and the tangos of Carlos Gardel, to Soda Stereo, Led Zeppelin through Silvio Rodriguez and Jimi Hendrix.

He recently released his 5th studio album titled P.A.R.C.E. - which is short for the word "parcero", which means "friend" or "buddy". According to Juanes, this latest album is about love, peace, and freedom.

His compositions reflect strictly personal experiences and themes ranging from love to the humor and double meaning, which further emphasizes the message of high social and uneasy peace. He is opposed to the violence generated by the continuous fight in his native Colombia, as well as all the conflicts that mark the face of the earth, and highlights the love of family and respect for humanity as the path that takes us beyond the bitterness.

To millions of fans of this poetic rocker, his compositions have been taken as true hymns dedicated to Latino pride, hope for peace, love and strength. In this respect, it is safe to say that Juanes is one of the most important Latin rockers -- both by the number of albums sold and by the enormous amount of sold-out concerts offered. In his career he has held over 800 concerts in America, Europe and Asia.

Juanes has recorded duets with Nelly Furtado, Black Eye Peas, Tony Bennett, Miguel Bose, Raphael and Colbie Caillat. Recently he recorded with jazz legend, Herbie Hancock a new version of "Earth" song written by Juanes in 1996 and considered by many the second national anthem of Colombia.

Juanes will be at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida on Friday April 15, 2011.

JERSEY BOYS original: Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons head to South Florida!

During the 1960's British Invasion of bands like The Beatles and the Rolling Stones, few American bands had a chance. But Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons persevered and were more successful during that time period than any other.

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons were formed in 1961 with Frankie Valli as lead singer, Bob Gaudio on keyboards, Nick Massi on bass and Tommy Devito on lead guitar. By 1962, they had already released multiple #1 singles.

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons released their first album in 1962, “Sherry & 11 Others”, which included their first two #1 singles on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, "Sherry" and "Big Girls Don't Cry." Their third single, "Walk Like a Man" also reached #1 status on the Hot 100 chart when it was released off of “Big Girls Don't Cry and 12 Others” (in 1963), the group's third album. They went onto release 50 US albums over the life of the band, with the last album being “Jersey Beat: The Music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons” (in 2007).

On November 6, 2005, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons were immortalized on the Broadway stage with the opening of the jukebox musical bio JERSEY BOYS. Using the group’s hits, the musical tells the story of the boys growing up in New Jersey and how they became The Four Seasons. JERSEY BOYS, a huge international hit still enjoying successful runs on Broadway, Las Vegas, London, etc., accurately depicts the music and lives of the group.

While the members of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons have changed many times over the years, the music and the memories haven't.

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons will be at the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on Wednesday February 16, 2011.

The Black Eyed Peas to perform at Super Bowl XLV!

The Black Eyed Peas have been confirmed to be performing at the 2011 Super Bowl half-time show, marking the first time a non-rock act has performed on the biggest stage on television in seven years.

The Grammy-winning hip hop group, which has toured and topped charts all over the world with singles such as "My Humps", "I Gotta Feeling" and "Boom Boom Pow", recently released its sixth studio album, "The Beginning". More than 153 million people in the United States watched the Super Bowl half-time show last year.

Previous performers at the half-time show of the NFL championship game include the Rolling Stones, U2, Bruce Springsteen and the Who, which played during the 2010 Super Bowl and whose hit song "My Generation" was remixed by Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am for an ad to promote the event.

Interestingly, the New York Times points out that the group caused outrage in Canada when they performed at the 2005 Grey Cup halftime show. The performance was deemed "offensive" and unsuitable for children, according to fans and the Canadian press, in addition to lacking artistic merit.

The Black Eyed Peas released their new album "The Beginning" last week. A few weeks ago they also picked up the award for Best Pop Group at the 2010 American Music Awards.

Super Bowl XLV will take place on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
