Staind’s Aaron Lewis brings his SOLO & ACOUSTIC Tour to South Florida!

Aaron Lewis, the acclaimed frontman for Atlantic recording group Staind, has announced details of his upcoming SOLO & ACOUSTIC Tour.

Lewis is also poised to embark on an eagerly anticipated and first overseas USO tour for US troops stationed in the Persian Gulf. 2011 will see Lewis traveling alongside members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, including such gridiron greats as Lynn Swann, Michael Haynes, and Paul Krause.

In other news, the It Takes A Community Foundation (ITAC) – founded by Lewis and his wife Vanessa – is happy to announce that the RH Conwell Elementary School in Worthington, Massachusetts has recently re-opened its doors, thanks in part to funds raised by the recent "Aaron Lewis & Friends" benefit concert. The proceeds from the event, which saw acoustic performances from such luminaries as Brad Arnold and Chris Henderson of 3 Doors Down, Shaun Morgan of Seether, LoPro and Brendan Kelley, have enabled the RH Conwell Elementary School to provide a seamless transition from a district run facility to a community school. To date, ITAC has raised $150,000 in support of the school.

"My family has been directly affected by school closures in our rural area due to state budget cuts," said Lewis. "We have seen firsthand the necessity for smaller communities to have a voice and to determine their own local needs and priorities. Our foundation strives to do just that: to build a collective of local community members and empower them to take charge of their own community's future."

Aaron Lewis will be at the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on Wednesday April 6, 2011.

Janet Jackson announces NUMBER ONES - UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL World Tour!

The iconic Janet Jackson's NUMBER ONES - UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL World Tour has sold out across North America in record time. The 35-city tour has been making headlines due to this being Janet's largest world tour ever.

Janet is the fastest selling single artist performance ticket this year. The tour has sold out multiple nights in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago, Washington DC and Atlantic City as well as single nights in Atlanta and Santa Barbara (Janet now ranks as one of the fastest sold out shows in the 25 year history of the Santa Barbara Bowl).

"These concerts will be different from anything I have ever done. I will be as up close and personal as possible," Jackson said in a statement. "These concerts are not about special effects. This is a love affair between me and those of you who have supported me and my work for all these years. I'll be singing and dancing from my heart. The music will all be songs that you've made number ones for me. Let's go!"

The NUMBER ONES - UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL World Tour is the first time Janet has hit the road since her record-breaking appearance at The Essence Music Festival. These performances will be Janet's largest ever world tour celebrating, for the first time, the icon's 35 number one hits in 35 global cities. Janet still holds the record for the most successful debut concert tour by a recording artist with her 1990 RHYTHM NATION Tour and is continuing to shatter records.

Janet was recently nominated for a Best Actress NAACP Image Award for her performance in Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married Too" for which she also co-wrote the theme song "Nothing". The ballad achieved number one iTunes status. Janet recently also co-starred in Tyler Perry's "For Colored Girls".

Janet's new book "True You" was recently published by Karen Hunter Publishing, an imprint of Gallery Books at Simon & Schuster. Janet's first book reveals her unique, never before revealed perspective on self-esteem.

"True You" chronicles Janet's lifelong struggles with weight and self-esteem. Though not a biography, Janet shares intimate stories from her past, present and until now private communications from her fans on their mutual struggles. "We took this journey together and if my fans had not been so open with me about their problems, I don't believe I would have been able to share this truth," Janet said.

"True You" features information from Janet's personal nutritionist, David Allen, a detailed food and menu plan including never before published recipes, created specifically for Janet by Chef Andre of Kathy Ireland's Worldwide Acafe, and finally Janet's personal journey with her long time and award-winning personal trainer Tony Martinez.

"Everyone is not blessed to have someone like Tony who makes being healthy and fit fun. Being able to share Tony's gifts with my fans, especially young people, is very motivating to me. Tony is a genius," Janet continued. The book is a self-help, healing guide of hope where Janet will use anecdotes from her life to illustrate the power of self acceptance and love.

We will post full information if Janet includes South Florida on this tour's itinerary.

Panic! At the Disco bring their 2011 VICES & VIRTUES Tour to South Florida!

Rock band Panic! At the Disco announced a 2011 U.S. headlining tour which will kick off this May 2011.

The tour is in support of the band's third album: "Vices & Virtues", which drops tomorrow Tuesday March 22, 2011 on Decaydance/Fueled by Ramen. It will be the band's first full-fledged tour in support of their new album.

Currently the band is touring with "An Intimate Evening with Panic! At the Disco", which has only been previewing a couple of new songs off "Vices & Virtues".

The band climbs onboard the old tour bus beginning May 20 in Philadelphia when it appears at WRFF Radio 104.5's fourth birthday show. The actual tour begins May 22 in Boston at House of Blues and includes May 24 at NYC's Terminal 5; May 27 in Atlanta at The Tabernacle; June 2 in Norfolk at the NorVA and June 5 at Toronto's Sound Academy.

"Vices & Virtues" marks Panic! At the Disco's first album since Ryan Ross and Jon Walker split from current band members Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith in 2009. There has been heavy promotion behind the new album, including a high-end music video for their first single "The Ballad of Mona Lisa," and a mini movie which features snippets from four songs off the upcoming new album. Both of the videos are riddled with innuendos towards the "old" Panic! At the Disco and Ryan Ross/Jon Walker's departure.

Joining the band on this summer tour will be label mates Fun. Foxy Shazam appears May 22-June 7 and Funeral Party joins the tour June 9-29.

Panic! At the Disco will be at the Pompano Beach Amphitheatre in Pompano Beach, Florida on Sunday May 29, 2011.

Charlie Sheen brings his MY VIOLENT TORPEDO OF TRUTH/DEFEAT IS NOT AN OPTION Tour 2011 to South Florida!

Whether you love him or hate him one thing can't be denied: seems there are thousands who are very interested in seeing the tiger blood-loving Charlie Sheen 'live'.

Sheen's MY VIOLENT TORPEDO OF TRUTH/DEFEAT IS NOT AN OPTION Tour 2011 has set an opening tour date of April 2 at Detroit's Fox Theatre. This first date sold out in minutes after it went on sale on a recent Saturday morning at 10am.

While a news released put figures at approximately 2,200 tickets sold, capacity at the Fox Theatre is actually closer to 4,800 seats. There are usually a few hundred seats that are held back from going on sale as production arrangements are needed for the show's set, possible video cameras, and othe staging logistics.

While pinpointing exactly how quickly a show sells out is tricky due to processing credit cards and other transactions, the report that the Detroit show sold out in roughly 18 minutes is accurate. Sheen's Fox Theatre show most likely moved more than 4,000 on that Saturday morning.

Sheen announced via his web site that $1 from each ticket sold for each show will be donated to the Red Cross' Japanese Earthquake Relief Fund.

After the shows sold out Sheen took to Twitter and said:
"Fastball; Detroit/Chicago sold out in minutes... Thanks to Sheen's Cadre..! #WINNING."

The recently fired "Two and Half Men" pop culture sensation surprised fans on a recent Thursday night when he dropped the on-sale info of the Detroit and Chicago dates.

In a YouTube.com clip Sheen did for the tour, he says:
"Dog speed my good soliders. I gave you my word, this warlock bats 1,000% -- you know by know my promises are golden. Hashtag fastball. I'm bringing MY VIOLENT TORPEDO OF TRUTH/DEFEAT IS NOT AN OPTION Tour out to you in the battlefield. If you're winning, I'll see you there. Trolls need not apply -- you all suffer from Sheen-is envy. Buy your ticket, take the ride and the ride will take you. Surge forward Sheen's cadres. Ignition. Liftoff. Bye."

Early plans are reportedly in the works to add more Sheen dates throughout the country.

Charlie Sheen will be at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise/Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Saturday April 23, 2011.

Luis Miguel brings his 2011 World Tour to South Floida!

'El Sol de Mexico' (The Sun of Mexico) Luis Miguel has announced a 2011 World Tour.

He is one of Mexico's biggest stars, with a twenty-five year career that has spanned the globe. Along the way, he has picked up more Grammys, Platinum discs and other accolades, than any other Latin singer before him. He was also the first Latin artist to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Luis Miguel is in the middle of a 161 day tour which started at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas and will end in Puerto Rico. The schedule takes him to seven countries, usually playing at the biggest venues possible, in a bid to accomodate armies of fans. They will, no doubt, be more than thrilled to see him especially after a mystery health scare saw him hospitalized in Los Angeles recently.

The singer was actually born in Puerto Rico to Spanish and Italian parents, but his family moved to Mexico when he was an infant. He has lived in Mexico ever since.

His first album was released when he was just eleven years old, after he was snapped up by EMI Records. By the time he was fifteen, he was winning awards for his duet with Scottish singer, Sheena Easton. That was merely the beginning of a glittering career, which is still going strong.

He may be one of Mexico's favorite sons, but his appeal is international -- Saddam Hussein purportedly has Luis Miguel's 'Segundo Romance' album in his possession, when the dictator was captured by Western forces.

Luis Miguel will be at the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami, Florida on Thursday May 19, 2011.

Broadway's JERSEY BOYS heads back to South Florida!

More than a tribute or a concert featuring a repertoire of The Four Seasons' music, the Broadway musical JERSEY BOYS chronicles the life and the trying times of Franki Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi -- the four blue-collar workers hailing from the Garden State who became the iconic pop quartet: The Four Seasons.

This multi-Tony Award winning musical sheds light on the ups and downs of the 60's pop group particularly the life of its front man, Franki Valli, to the tunes of their greatest hits such as "Walk Like a Man", "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Sherry" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" and some original tunes and scores as well, composed by Bob Gaudio and The Four Seasons' producer and co-composer, Bob Crewe.

Legendary Tom Jones brings his PRAISE & BLAME 2011 Tour to South Florida!

Tom Jones' 46-year career has remarkably gone from strength to strength. Along with sustaining his popularity as a live performer and recording artist for more than four decades, he has garnered (at the age of 70) the best reviews of his career for his recent album "Praise & Blame". Critics across the world are nearly unanimous in their approval and admiration for both the recorded work and the performance of it in concert.

The "Praise & Blame" mantra was 'get back to basics', and the album was recorded as wholly 'live' performances at Peter Gabriel's studio in Bath, England and produced by Ethan Johns (Kings of Leon, Ryan Adams, Ray LaMontagne, Laura Marling and Paolo Nutini). The result witnesses a singer at the top of his game, with the song themselves coaxing exhilarating performances out of Tom and his band. Played live to astounding success at festivals and venues in the UK and Europe, Tom now brings his PRAISE & BLAME 2011 Tour to concertgoers everywhere as part of his live show experience.

Tom has fundamental interest in a wide range of music. Although he is well known for hits including "It's Not Unusual", "Kiss", "Delilah", "She's a Lady", "What's New Pussycat?", "I'll Never Fall in Love Again" and "If I Only Knew", he is first and foremost a rocker with a true rhythm and blues soul. He has remained a vital recording artist, with his 1999 album "Reload" the biggest selling (5 million) of his then 35-year career.

Tom was a key player in Martin Scorsese's RED WHITE & BLUES series, and in 2004 released an album of roots rock'n'roll with Jools Holland, the foremost boogie pianist in the UK. Prior to 2010's "Praise & Blame", his 2008 studio album "24 Hours" was a critical career highlight with many of the self-penned tracks being an insightful and evocative reflection of his spirited and rich life. In the words of the Washington Post:
"... "24 Hours" finds Jones vocalizing with an almost reckless exuberance. This vibrant collection exemplifies Tom's substance and grit, tempered with an air of reflection."

Tom was knighted by Her Majesty the Queen in 2006, an honor he fervently cherishes. Other highlights of his 44-year career including receiving a BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music, a Silver Clef Award for Lifetime Achievement, in 2009 the "Hitmaker" Award from the U.S. Songwriters Hall of Fame, and in 2010 the prestigious (UK) Music Industry Trust Award. He has been animated as himself in THE SIMPSONS, DUCK DODGERS and Disney's THE EMPEROR'S NEW GROOVE and other film roles have included Tim Burton's MARS ATTACKS! and Anjelica Houston's AGNES BROWN.

Sir Tom is indeed a living legend. He is welcomed in venues worldwide, from urban clubs to performing arts centers to arenas. His irresistable show traverses musical eras and genres, cuts across class divides and appeals to young and old, male and female, mainstream and cutting edge. Godfather of modern soul, Sir Tom has always been about the power of the song, the power of the voice.

Tom Jones will be at the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on Thursday April 21, 2011.

Comedian Martin Short brings his characters to South Florida!

Celebrated actor and comedian Martin Short is on the road with a PG, family friendly one-man variety performance.

"The show is based on a fake look at my life," says Short.
"It's a lot like SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE except I'm the whole cast."

Favorite characters from throughout his career such as Frank Eggelhoffer from the FATHER OF THE BRIDE films, Ned Nederlander of THREE AMIGOS and Hollywood agent Jiminy Glick will reappear, bringing back favorite moments from Short's long career.

The entire show is intended to be highly improvisational and will change from night to night. In addition to putting his comedic talents to work, Short's performance also involves audience participation. Short said that a few audience members will be pulled on stage for an interview in classic Jiminy Glick style. "It's a Party with Marty," he said.

These days, Short says touring is "no longer about trying to figure out how to pay the rent," and instead provides a way for the Canada native to stay connected to the comedy scene and to his fans.

His firs big break as an actor took place when he was cast in a 1972 stage production of GODSPELL in Toronto, which played for a year. From there, Short became involved with Second City Television (SCTV), a TV sketch comedy show that took a satirical look at television. His work on SCTV opened the doors to performing as a regular on NBC's SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, which served as a springboard to other TV and movie roles.

Beyond the screen, Short has made a number of returns to the stage and won a Tony Award in 1999 for his lead performance in the Broadway revival of the musical LITTLE ME. Short said he keeps his Tony Award in his office in Los Angeles where he lives for two-thirds of the year. Short spends the remaining time in Canada.

"I love going places I've never been," Short said about his hectic tour schedule.
"None of its challenging. Its like doing a great workout. Even if the audience is tough I always want to win them over by the end."

Martin Short will be at the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on Monday March 28, 2011.

The Monkees bring their 45th Anniversary Tour to South Florida!

Their fans may have thought reunions were only true in fairytales, meant for someone else, but not for them. For those who have kept the faith will be delighted to hear that 1960's group The Monkees, spawned from the television programme of the same name, are back.

The band, originally created for the hit ABC TV show THE MONKEES which charted the experiences of four young men in their quest to become rock'n'roll stars, are reforming to celebrate ther 45th anniversary.

For the first time in 12 years the TV band, whose hits include "Daydream Believer", "I'm a Believer" and "Last Train to Clarkesville" are going on the road.

Three of the original Monkees: Micky Dolenz, Peter York and Davy Jones, will brave aching knees and dodgy backs for the performances, but Michael Nesmith, who went on to create his own business and became a producer and novelist, will not take part in the tour.

After originally being created in 1966 by writer and producer Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider for the ABC television series which aired from 1966 to 1968 before re-running extensively in the 1980's, The Monkees gained credibility by taking supervisory control over all their collective musical work.

The show won two Emmy Awards in 1967 and propelled its four starts to pop stardom. John Lennon called them "the Marx Brothers of rock", but in 1967, The Monkees outsold both The Beatles and The Rolling Stones combined, and went on to sell 50 million records.

After the TV show came to an end in 1968 the band went on tour and made a psychedelic film HEAD the same year.

The Monkees will be at the Pompano Beach Amphitheatre in Pompano Beach, Florida on Sunday June 5, 2011.

Girl Talk brings his 2011 North American Tour to South Florida!

Some laptop artists get a reputation for being dull live, bt that definitely can't be said about mash-up master Girl Talk (aka Greg Gillis). We don't need us to tell you the Pittsburgh, PA-based beat-maker has earned a reputation for energized live shows, inviting fans on stage and pulling off goofy stunts like rigging toilet paper rolls onto leaf blowers. Now, Girl Talk is planning to take his sweat-dripping live show on a lengthy North American tour.

Girl Talk is touring in support of his recently released fifth LP "All Day". Gillis recently told Pitchfork:
"I wanted to put in more little breather-room elements. It's definitely in the same ballpark as "Feed the Animals", but the production's more complex and there's more of a variety in the source material."

Girl Talk has added another batch of dates to his upcoming itinerary, with stops now scheduled for Los Angeles, CA, Urbana, IL, Miami Beach, FL, Orlando, FL and Oxford, MS, among other cities. This is without mentioning his many scheduled festival appearances, which include but not limited to Hangout, Bonnaroo, Primavera Sound, and the Governor's Ball Music Festival.

"Mr. Gillis aims to please. His music is a collage of hits, recent and old, that are instantly recognizable to just about everyone in the crowd. Each one -- from Jay-Z to Styx to the Ramones to Missy Elliot to Nirvana -- draws a cheer within a few notes. Mr. Gillis samples the song's obvious hooks. He isn't a hipster showing off how deeply he's dug into his collection; he's a fellow fan, reactivating remembered pop pleasures." - Jon Pareles (The New York Times)

Girl Talk will be at The Fillmore at the Jackie Gleason Theatre in Miami Beach, Florida on Thursday May 19, 2011.
