Broadway sensational JERSEY BOYS returns to South Florida!

More than a tribute or a concert featuring a repertoire of The Four Seasons' music, the Broadway musical JERSEY BOYS chronicles the life and the trying times of Franki Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi -- the four blue-collar workers hailing from the Garden State who became the iconic pop quartet: The Four Seasons.

This multi-Tony Award winning musical sheds light on the ups and downs of the 60's pop group particularly the life of its front man, Franki Valli, to the tunes of their greatest hits such as "Walk Like a Man", "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Sherry" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" and some original tunes and scores as well, composed by Bob Gaudio and The Four Seasons' producer and co-composer, Bob Crewe.
"A winner!"
as The New Yorker theater critic John Lahr puts it, JERSEY BOYS shows what stars and icons have to go through to withstand four decades of conflicts and arguments between themselves, controversies, life threatening situations and family troubles and yet, be able to leave a remarkable musical legacy that will be cherished by their fans and remembered by succeeding generations.

Also, Warner Bros. is bringing the film adaptation of JERSEY BOYS to the big screen in late 2013.  No casting as yet been announced but IRON MAN director (and actor) Jon Favreau is set to direct the film, which is slated to begin filming in early 2013.
JERSEY BOYS is not recommended for all ages. The show contains smoke, gun shots, strobe lights, drug references, sexual situations and profane "authentic Jersey language."
JERSEY BOYS will be at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida from December 19 to January 6, 2013.

Alabama Crimson Tide face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the 2013 Discover BCS National Championship Game in South Florida!

The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the 2013 Discover BCS National Championship Game on Monday, January 7, 2013 at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida.

“We are very excited about coming to South Florida and I congratulate Notre Dame and Coach Kelly and his players on an undefeated season and their number one ranking,” said Alabama head football coach Nick Saban. “They are a fantastic team and it’s always a special occasion to play against Notre Dame, and especially for the national championship.”
Alabama (12-1 overall) and Notre Dame (12-0) have met six times in their storied histories, but will be meeting for the first time since 1987. Notre Dame owns a 5-1-0 series lead over the Crimson Tide with two of the games taking place in the postseason.
The teams first met in the 1973 Sugar Bowl when the Irish won a memorable 24-23 verdict over the Crimson Tide in a game that decided that season’s national championship. The squads matched up again following the next season with Notre Dame squeaking past Alabama, 13-11, in the 1975 Orange Bowl game to cap the 1974 season. Alabama and Notre Dame met in regular season contests in 1976 (a 21-18 Notre Dame win at South Bend, Ind.), 1980 (a 7-0 Notre Dame win at Birmingham, Ala.), 1986 (a 28-10 Alabama victory in Birmingham) and 1987 (a 37-6 Notre Dame win at South Bend).
The Crimson Tide will be making its third appearance in the BCS National Championship Game in the last four seasons. Alabama defeated Texas, 37-21, in the 2010 contest played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., and then defeated LSU, 21-0, in the 2012 title game played at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La. Notre Dame is making its first appearance in the BCS National Championship Game.
“The opportunity to play in our second straight BCS Championship Game is special,” said linebacker C.J. Mosley. “One of the goals that we set for this team at the beginning of each season is to play for a national championship. It has not been easy this season and there are several different times we could have let the opportunity slip away, but we pulled together, fought through adversity and found a way to make it to Miami.”
“I could not be more excited about the chance to end my Alabama career playing in the BCS National Championship Game against a talented Notre Dame team,” said offensive lineman Barrett Jones. “This team has worked hard and overcame a lot for this opportunity, but we know that we have a lot of work ahead of us and a very difficult challenge.”
The Crimson Tide is making its fifth BCS bowl appearance and fourth in the last five seasons under Saban. The Crimson Tide also played in the 2009 Sugar Bowl (2008 season – a 31-17 loss to Utah), the 2010 BCS National Championship Game (2009 season – a 37-21 victory over Texas), and the 2012 BCS National Championship Game (2011 season – a 21-0 victory over LSU). Alabama also appeared in the 2000 Orange Bowl (a 35-34 loss to Michigan in overtime).
Alabama will be playing a post-season game at Sun Life Stadium in Miami for the third time in school history, with this upcoming matchup, the 2000 Orange Bowl and the 1991 Blockbuster Bowl against Colorado. Overall, this will be Alabama’s 10th bowl game appearance in the city of Miami. Prior to the 2000 Orange Bowl, Alabama also participated in the Orange Bowl Classic in 1944 (a 37-21 win over Boston College), 1953 (a 61-6 win over Syracuse), 1963 (a 17-0 win over Oklahoma), 1965 (a 21-17 loss to Texas), 1966 (a 39-28 win over Nebraska), 1972 (a 38-6 loss to Nebraska), 1975 (a 13-11 loss to Notre Dame) and the 1991 Blockbuster Bowl (a 30-25 win over Colorado).
Alabama has played in more bowl games (60, not counting one vacated appearance and including the 2013 BCS Championship Game) and earned more bowl wins (33) than any school in college football history. The Crimson Tide has posted a 33-22-3 all-time bowl record. The Crimson Tide is making its sixth consecutive bowl appearance under head coach Nick Saban and the ninth straight overall for the school. Saban is 4-1 in bowl games at Alabama, defeating LSU in the 2012 BCS National Championship Game, defeating Michigan State in the 2011 Capital One Bowl, defeating Texas in the 2010 BCS National Championship Game and defeating Colorado in the 2007 Independence Bowl. The Tide’s bowl loss under Saban came in the 2009 Sugar Bowl against Utah.
Alabama Crimson Tide will play Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the 2013 Discover BCS National Championship Game on Monday January 7, 2013 at the Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida.

Legendary comic and TV personality Howie Mandel heads to South Florida!

Howie Mandel has remained a constant force in show business for over 30 years. Mandel is the host and executive producer of NBC’s new, high stakes game show “Take It All”, which is based on the wildly popular holiday game “White Elephant” or “Yankee Swap.”  He also hosts and executive produces the FOX series “Mobbed”, an unscripted show that puts a hidden-camera spin on the “flash mob” concept; and he serves as one of the judges on NBC’s summer hit talent competition series “America’s Got Talent.” Mandel received a primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Reality/Competition Host and a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Game Show Host for the syndicated version of the show.

With a versatile career that has encompassed virtually all aspects of the entertainment spectrum including television, film and stage, Mandel has become a mainstay on the American comedy scene. His impressive credits range from the Emmy-Award winning NBC series “St. Elsewhere” to the international animated children’s series “Bobby’s World”. In 2009, Mandel added another title to his resume, author, when he released his frank, funny, no-holds-barred memoir “Here’s the Deal: Don’t Touch Me”. The memoir that revealed his ongoing struggle with OCD and ADHD–and how it has shaped his life and career made the New York Times Bestseller list on its first week and remained on the list for several consecutive weeks.
Mandel started his career on a dare at amateur night at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles in 1979.  As fate would have it, there was a producer in the crowd who immediately hired him to appear on the comedy game-show “Make Me Laugh”. His appearance on the show led to talk show appearances, a stint as Diana Ross’ opening act and eventually to the NBC television series “St. Elsewhere” where he spent six seasons as “Dr. Wayne Fiscus” on the award-winning NBC drama.
Mandel’s Emmy Award-nominated animated children series, “Bobby’s World”, ran eight seasons on FOX and now appears in syndication six days a week in 65 countries. As the series’ creator and executive producer, Mandel was closely involved in its writing, as well as providing the voice of Bobby, Bobby’s dad and other characters. Mandel attributes the show’s success to drawing the story lines from real life.
Having starred in countless comedy specials both on cable and network television, Mandel also hosted his namesake syndicated talk show, The Howie Mandel Show, and continues to be a mainstay on the talk-show circuit. He frequently appears on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno performing his signature hidden-camera bits.
Howie Mandel will be at the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on Monday January 28, 2013.

P!nk finally returns to South Florida when she brings her THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE North American Tour!

New mom and recent Cover Girl, Pink recently dropped her sixth studio album, and the "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" singer has a shiny new North American tour to go along with it.

Before answering fan questions during a live Q&A, the singer unveiled the 25 cities she's hitting up on her THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE North American Tour, scheduled to kick off February 2013 in Phoenix.

Here are two things you need to know about THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE North American Tour that we learned from the always outspoken Pink during her recent ‘live’ chat:
1) Bob Mackie will be designing the tour outfits. Pink also worked with Mackie on her FUNHOUSE World Tour in 2009, and Pink revealed she's one of his favorite clients because she has the smallest chest. "Boobs are hard to dress," apparently.

2) Robyn is probably not going to be opening for Pink on the tour. When fans were throwing suggestions at her and the "Call Your Girlfriend" singer's name popped up, Pink wasn't thrilled about what Robyn had to say about Katy Perry when she was the opener during a leg on Katy's 2011 CALIFORNIA DREAMS World Tour: "If you're going to talk shit about me, at least wait for the last stop on the tour."
Pink will be at the BB&T Center (formerly the Bank Atlantic Center) in Sunrise/Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Monday February 25, 2013.
