Shakira brings her hips and her 2010 World Tour to South Florida!

Shakira has announced initial dates for her 2010 World Tour in support of last year's "She Wolf" album, a run that will see the singer return to North America for the first time since 2006.
The outing gets underway September 21 at New York City's Madison Square Garden, a September 25th show in Fort Lauderdale, an October 8th show in Houston and an October 23rd appearance in Los Angeles are confirmed at this point. Additional dates will be announced soon, according to the pop star's publicist.

The singer continues to support last year's "She Wolf," her sixth studio album and third English-language title. The set peaked at No. 15 on The Billboard 200, and has reached gold or platinum status in several Latin American countries and Spain.

"Gypsy," the album's most recent single, hit radio airwaves in February 2010. The video for the song, lensed by longtime Shakira collaborator Jaume De Laiguana, features the pop singer cavorting with Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal.

"Shooting this video with Rafa was a great experience, he is very sweet and made it easy and fun," Shakira said in a statement. "He and I have so much in common, starting out so young in our respective careers and traveling the world, I felt this would translate the spirit of the lyrics in the song and I was thrilled he wanted to be a part of it."

Shakira will be at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise/Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Saturday September 25, 2010 and at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida on Monday September 27, 2010.
