Meat Loaf brings his 2010 HANG COOL TOUR to South Florida!

Meat Loaf will spend some time on the road in support of his forthcoming album, "Hang Cool Teddy Bear." The theatrical rocker kicked-off the tour with a July 3 stop in Gilford, NH.

"Hang Cool Teddy Bear," the musician's 11th studio effort, hit shelves May 11th. Meat Loaf worked with producer Rob Cavallo on the set, which features guest appearances by Jack Black, Hugh Laurie (of FOX TV's HOUSE), Kara DioGuardi (of FOX TV'S AMERICAN IDOL) and Steve Vai. The new material was inspired by the 1970 film "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" and named for a line in the movie.

"I wanted it big, I wanted it dramatic, I wanted a rock record," the performer explained in a prepared statement. "Yes, it sounds like a Meat Loaf record. But it sounds different, too; it sounds new, it sounds fresh. It speaks to you in a different way."

Meat Loaf is also a successful actor, having appeared in more than 60 television shows and feature films, from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" to last year's "Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny."

Meat Loaf (with Special Guest: Peal) will be at the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on Wednesday September 1, 2010.
