UK sensation One Direction kick-off their newly announced 2013 North American Summer Tour in South Florida!

With their 2012 tour of the United States completely sold out and commitments lined up for the rest of the year that will keep them from returning, One Direction has gone ahead and scheduled a tour of North American arenas for Summer 2013.

Fans gobbled up tickets to the British boy band's May/June 2012 tour, as well as its December 3 show at NYC's Madison Square Garden. The group announced yesterday that their 2013 world tour will begin a 25-city run in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on June 13 and will stop in New York City, Chicago, Denver, Montreal and Las Vegas before wrapping up in Los Angeles on August 7.

"Our fans are simply the best in the world," member Niall Horan says. "The support they have shown us has been incredible and we're all so grateful to each and every one of them. We can't wait to see everyone this summer, at Madison Square Garden and of course when we play our world tour in 2013."

1D recently made chart history by scoring a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 albums chart, becoming the first U.K. act to see their debut album start in the top spot. The group: Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry and Louis performed on NBC’s SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE on Saturday April 7 and appeared in a recent episode of Nickelodeon’s iCARLY.

Their 2012 headlining trek through North America kicks off on May 24 in Fairfax, VA.

One Direction will be at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise/Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Sunday July 1, 2012 and kick-off their Summer 2013 Tour at the Bank Atlantic Center on Thursday June 13, 2013 and then head to the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami, Florida on Friday June 14, 2013.
