Cirque du Soleil returns to South Florida with its new show TOTEM!

Cirque du Soleil returns to Miami with TOTEM, a new big top production. Written and directed by Robert Lepage, TOTEM premieres on January 10, 2013 for a limited engagement under the blue and yellow Big Top located at the Sun Life Stadium grounds.
Since its world premiere in Montreal in April 2010, TOTEM has visited more than 12 cities in 4 different countries and has performed in front of more than 1.5 million spectators.
TOTEM traces the fascinating journey of the human species from its original amphibian state to its ultimate desire to fly. The characters evolve on a stage evoking a giant turtle, the symbol of origin for many ancient civilizations. Inspired by many founding myths, TOTEM illustrates, through a visual and acrobatic language, the evolutionary progress of species. Somewhere between science and legend TOTEM explores the ties that bind Man to other species, his dreams and his infinite potential.

From a group of 20 street performers at its beginnings in 1984, Cirque du Soleil is a major Québec-based organization providing high-quality artistic entertainment. The company has 5,000 employees, including more than 1,300 artists from more than 50 different countries.

Cirque du Soleil gratefully acknowledges Infiniti, CGI, Xerox, Sun Life Financial and American Express as the Official Sponsors of the US 2012-2013 TOTEM Tour.
Cirque du Soleil has brought wonder and delight to more than 100 million spectators in more than 300 cities in over forty countries on six continents. Cirque du Soleil International Headquarters are in Montreal, Canada.
Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM will be on the grounds of the Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida starting January 10, 2013 and expected to run thru March 2013.
