Sandra Bernhard Makes a Spring Return to South Florida!

For 25 years, Sandra Bernhard has been challenging fans and critics with her knife-edged humor, satire and emotive performances on film, television and stage. "An Evening with Sandra Bernhard" includes comedy, commentary and music as Bernhard appears with musical director/pianist, Mitch Kaplan and guitarist Pam Adams.

Throughout her career, Bernhard's formidable presence has also had a place on television. From 1991-1996, she portrayed Nancy on "Roseanne," and has had guest starring roles on "Ally McBeal," "Chicago Hope" and 'Will & Grace." She has appeared on "Late Night with David Letterman," as well as "The Tonight Show," "Rosie O'Donnell" and "The View." She hosted the season premiere of "MadTV" and the Bravo network recently profiled her career. The SF Weekly praised Bernhard,
"One moment, her voice is lulling you into a wistful sigh; the next, she's knocking you back several rows with it."

Sandra's latest recording, WHATEVER IT TAKES, was released in August 2009 . Produced and co-written by Ted Mason (Modern English) the inspired body of work melds the sophistication, sensuality and drive of pure rock & roll, stirred with the rousing passion of authentic world music. Reflective of Bernhard’s rebellious nature, and powered by her sincere passion for the new sounds and rhythms she has embraced, the album is a musical cross-cultural road trip which takes the listener from New York, to Africa, the middle east, and South America. Special guest artists include rock legend Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders), DJ - Ucef , Erol Josue, and Rwandan cultural ambassador and Kora award-winning singer / songwriter Jean Paul Samputu.

Sandra Bernhard will be at the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Saturday March 27, 2010.
