British sensation Adele heads to South Florida!

British soul sensation Adele has been on a roll — her critically lauded sophomore album, “21” held the #1 position on the Billboard Charts for ten weeks, and helped turned her into a household name. American fans hoping to catch Adele live were deeply disappointed when it was revealed earlier in the month that she’d have to cancel her North American tour, due to laryngitis.

“As I’m sure most of you know I had to cancel over half of my U.S. tour a couple (of) weeks back,” she wrote on her web site. “It was a devastating decision to make, but I really had no choice. I had to give my voice 2 weeks rest or risk permanent damage. I’m so so sorry.”

Quashing some recent rumors about herself, she added, “I haven't been told to not sing or talk for a month, I have given up smoking again! And also I'm not having singing lessons.”

'I got better before and I'm getting better this time, and I will do everything I can to make sure nothing like this happens again!'

Today, the 23-year-old announced the rescheduled dates for her tour, which will begin August 9. The new itinerary features six additional cities — Las Vegas, NV, Atlantic City, NJ, Durham, NC, Orlando, FL, Miami, FL and Spring, TX.

Adele will be at the Waterfront Theatre at the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami, Florida on Friday October 14, 2011.
